桂林人粥城大城堡店 — Restaurant in Kuala Lumpur

Type: Chinese Restaurant (Guilin) Signature: Guilin Noodles

This Chinese restaurant Specializes in Authentic Guilin dishes which includes its Signature rice noodles (famous throughout China). We tried their signature Spicy Lousi Fen (3 🌟) which was really spicy and it came in really big servings... but taste wise..was Average only. Many other dishes to choose from but worth mentioning is only their spicy century Egg (4 🌟) which was blended nicely with their homemade sauce and is very delicious.

Most of the other dishes we ordered were quite awful.. The seafood porridge with Crabs (1.5 🌟) was completely tasteless. Was utterly dissapointed as it looked really good. The pork ribs with garlic (2 🌟) was equally bad... and it came with ridiculously big portions (every piece is almost half the size of a KFC chicken), didn't come with garlic and overly mixed with batter. The usual pork and vegetables (2 🌟) also failed to impress. Luckily, we didn't have high expectations from the restaurant (since Guilin is not famous for any Signature dishes).

This is where you go to for Authentic China Guangxi Province dishes! Sri Petaling is their latest outlet (fourth if I'm not mistaken). I have been to their other 02 outlets previously but i like this the most due to it's location, ambience and seating configuration. Upon entering, you will be greeted with grandeur entrance which feels like entering a Chinese Palace. Common area would be the ground level where the kitchen and main dining tables are. For private gatherings or special occasions, you can opt to book their private rooms which can accommodate between 10 to 40 pax. On the same level where the private rooms are, you can buy Chinese Groceries imported all the way from China. The food is tasty, spicy and definitely gives you a glimpse of China once you put it in your mouth (the food is so good that we always forgo our "camera-eat-first" policy). Dining Experience at Guilin Renzhou Cheng Restaurant (Datongcheng Store)

Recently, I had the opportunity to dine at Guilin Renzhou Cheng Restaurant (Datongcheng Store) with a group of friends. Overall, we had a very enjoyable experience.

Atmosphere and Service:

Atmosphere: The restaurant has a beautiful Chinese decor, creating a comfortable and welcoming dining atmosphere. Service: The staff were friendly and attentive, and the food came out quickly. Parking: While parking might be a bit challenging, the restaurant has dedicated parking attendants to help you, which is a nice touch.

Food:

Appetizers: Before our meals arrived, we enjoyed a cup of hot Chinese tea and a refreshing cucumber salad. Main courses: We ordered a variety of dishes, including spicy fat sausage, stir-fried lala clams, shredded cabbage, stir-fried yellow beef, fish fillet with pickle cabbage, farmhouse fried pork, sizzling chicken, and crab roe fried rice. Overall, the dishes were quite spicy, perfect for those who enjoy spicy food. Each dish had its own unique flavor, and we particularly enjoyed the spicy fat sausage and the fish fillet with pickle cabbage. Dessert: We also had dessert, and the sour plum juice was a refreshing and delicious way to end our meal.

Summary:

Guilin Renzhou Cheng Restaurant is a great place to go for authentic Chinese cuisine. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is inviting, and the service is excellent. If you're looking for a memorable dining experience, I highly recommend this restaurant.
