Came by for a quiet Sunday lunch. The place was half full — filled with middle aged families. The owner is Turkish and the remaining staff are Filipino. Quite friendly and prompt, and you can see them preparing your food right behind the counter.

We had the chicken kebab and mixed (chicken + lamb) kebab. Burger seemed interesting but the ingredients were all the same as the kebabs, so we opted out. Between both, the mixed kebab was more flavourful. Also, I recommend having 2 or more sauces, as we tried the chicken with just garlic and it was rather dry. On the other hand, our mixed kebab with garlic + hot sauce was more enjoyable. Taste wise, it’s pretty nice but no special wow factor.

Saw lots of people praising the lemonade so we tried it, but it’s on the pricey side and tasted somewhat cordial-based. Wouldn’t get that again.

All in all, the kebabs were just enough. Doesn’t appease your appetite 100% full. One winning edge it has over the other Turkish restaurants out there is it tastes more healthy/authentic. Otherwise, it’s more expensive and less “fast food” tasting than those out there such as Stu**d.

Would I come back? Maybe just when passing by, but it’s not memorable enough to look for...

Having tasted doner kebabs across the globe—from the bustling streets of Europe to the vibrant scenes in San Francisco, New York, Tokyo, and Seoul—I'm always on the lookout for something unique yet authentic. Babahur Kebab in Kuala Lumpur genuinely surprised me with its flavour, quality, and authenticity.

The kebab meat was perfectly seasoned and tender, and the vegetables were fresh and crisp. The bread, slightly toasted, gave the perfect balance of texture. The portion sizes were generous, and the prices were reasonable, especially for the quality offered.

The service was prompt and friendly, and you can feel the passion in the food. Babahur Kebab is a gem in KL that delivers a taste experience any kebab lover would appreciate. Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys authentic, flavorful kebabs.

PS: I know photos are not the best, I am a foodie not...

It's probably like my 5th time eating from here, I usually do take aways. Food is always so good, and you can somehow tell, it's clean by the way of how the food is packed, ingredients are arranged neatly in the takeaway box, burger is also properly packed, ingredients in the burger are also arranged properly, so it doesn't fall out when you take a bite. Their haloumi burger is also so good. Chicken is fresh, sauce is great with the rice, lotsa fresh veggies on the side, and they are fresh and crunchy too, not limp veggies that's been cut and left for days. The white sauce and the hot sauce, chicken, rice and veggies are all in proper balance, not too much of anything. Generous serving of chicken as well, and price is a great value for money. Highly recommend this place to anyone who is reading this. Please keep it up baba hur,...

I had such a huge craving for the style of Turkish lamb doner found in the U.K., and when I found out about Baba Hur I was super excited to try it, and discovering the chef is Turkish and lived in the U.K. for 10 years I was even more excited. I have to say the food was suuper delicious! Honestly, it doesn’t taste like back home, but in many ways I enjoyed it even more. It was super fresh, not at all greasy, really light and really nicely spiced. I will 100% order again (although probably even better if you can eat it there in the restaurant). The best part of the experience though was the staff. They are so friendly and courteous, and they even sent me a video of my food being prepared which had me drooling 🤤. 10/10 recommend!

Terrible experience. We came here with a good mood to enjoy some Turkish food. We ordered food worth rm90. However the Turkish old man is RUDE and wanted us to leave, as we mentioned service is BAD. I was thirsty and asked the lady twice to give me water, which she kept on saying in a while. My drinks were not given for almost 15mins, also the food, whereas we can see others who ordered together with us getting their food. Anyways may be it’s not the place for us. Owner/Turkish is RUDE. Not used to this kind of behavior in Malaysia. This is not Turkey, even in Turkey people are super friendly I go there twice a year. May God bless him.
