Ill do my best to give an honest review. I believe my experience can be summed as uniquely remarkable food, and what seems to be undertrained staff, leading to a subpar service. 1. The food - simply amazing šŸ˜ The food is delicious, period. The ingredients they use are great quality. In particular - tje A5 Tokoshima Wagyu and the marbling was quite superb. Truly melt in your mouth. The lobster was firm and fresh. The food's seasoning - literally everything was utter perfection. 2. The service šŸ‘€ I want to preempt by saying - the service is not bad, but subpar relative to the prices and positioning of this restaurant. At min RM80 to over RM100 for a steak, this restaurant should be considered more luxurious and I believe the service was exceptionally unaligned. If this service had been at a warung or a Madam Kwans, I would have no problem. Example: 2.a. the waiter failed to communicate properly that an increase in grams = increase in price. While we ordered an RM180 steak for 100g, they simply told us it would be 230g without further mention of the price. I can certainly do math, but if Im paying over double the price, Id like a clearer explanation. 2.b. waiter failed to ask abt the done-ness of the steak. This is my first time where a waiter at a place with steak being a bestseller gave little to no introduction of the steak. It's common practice for the waiter to ask at *every price range* when a restaurant serves steak. 2.c. the waiter failed to properly render the fat of the steak and sliced it as it was cooking. This is a much finer point but something worth sharing bc I dont want you to kena as well. Wagyu A5 is amazing quality and doesn't need much work to cook delicioisly - yet the fat on my steak was almost raw? And generally - steak should be sliced after a bit of resting. It's a shame to considering the quality cut of steak. 2.d. the waiter either had poor training or did an awful job trying to convince us to spend money. We stated we were allergic to fish (yes literally fish, lobster is okay šŸ˜‚) and weren't interested in salad or fish. And what did he recommend continuously? Fish and salad. 2.e. also a much finer point - I noticed the waiters were not aware of dining etiquette - like when your fork and knife are at a 5oclock position youre finished with the meal. This is an extremely small detail and truly not a big deal - it's just smthn that denotes the staff's training doesn't match the prices of the food. TLDR: Great food, undertrained staff.

Came here on Christmas Eve with reservations on 8:30pm, no any staff welcome us and bring us to our table, they don’t even have the table ready yet. We have to ask for the menu, ask for plate, ask for the drinks menu. Service is really 1 star, maybe they will give better service when there is less busier but with this situation you can see how they handle the customers. Food came really slow, they already limit the menu to Christmas set and certain ala carte menu yet still need an hour for our main course to serve. That’s really sad when other tables with candle light and our table with nothing. At least this is what we observed while waiting for the food. Food is good, but with this price it’s not hard to get anything better. I pay for your service and yet this is what I get. Definitely not going back. By chance I don’t get the menu I wanted, as I would really like to try the fresh fish on orange salt slab. Turn out I got this kind of service. I pay this much for a fancy dinner, what make yours differ from other cheaper crowded long queue restaurant? It might be a bad day for you but in return we got unpleasant dinner experience from your side. At the end you just wave and pay and get out. Nobody will bother you, they will just busy serving cutting wagyu for the big tables. Anyhow, probably I have too high expectations as this is award winning and highly rated restaurant.

Nice ambiance for date night as the place is small and intimate. However, it takes one party of people talking loud (famous from some part of the world) to kill the vibe. The food service was good with attention to replace the plates before main course and provide correct cutlery for the meal served. However, it took bit of time to get the 2 cocktails served, which came out one at the time. We should have ordered a glass of wine, which by the way was at a good price too. The food presentation is carefully crafted, but I confess I was a bit disappointed with the halibut. I thought it would be cooked on the rock salt, but it is just served on it. I would still recommend it serviced with garlic and herbs along with plenty of lemon to cut through the fat in the fish. I really like their twist to the chowder with plenty of minced clams and slight creamy texture. The mushroom soup has porcinis, but I could also taste a hint of truffle oil. The lamb skewers had a nice presentation, but felt short to my expectations , especially after enjoying the other 3 corses. It was a bit overcooked, barely warm (as it was cooked earlier and just served), and some pieces were chewy. Frankly, most of the items on the menu didn’t seem traditional Mongolian food, and that is why this please is not so busy.

Great ratings but I believe the ratings are fudged or manipulated by the administrator. So let’s see if this is posted.

Have ok wines, but no wine culture or coolers, no skill in opening a good red which kind of set the tone for what was to come. Little did I know what I was in for…

I do believe the menu is adventurous and somewhat exciting yet does not do the effort justice if the serving staff are unskilled in handling the basics or having to make recommendations. No recommendation were made at all in terms of pairing of wine or drinks etc.

For the meat, impressive showmanship with frying the steak on a salt skillet, but had to intervene on both steaks to prevent it from being over cooked by the unskilled staff. There was also not resting time allowed for the steaks. Over all the steak was spiced well, tuff, yet some level of aging would have complimented the effort.

Cutlery is old and do not match the effort, being offered fish forks and really blunt steak knives just to top a poor experience off. This part was really disappointing for me as a meat lover.

The price and quality of wine glasses does not match the expectation.

Sorry for being so blunt, hitting close to 5 stars is something few chefs or restaurants achieve and it should not be taken lightly. Best to rate performance as is so the next customer could know what they...
