I wish I had delayed this visit instead.
So, I’ve been on a strict diet for last few days and this was my time to indulge in a good meal outside, I was craving for a good kam heong crab; read online saw the reviews and found this is the ideal place to go.
Ok, so we ordered Kam Heong Crab, biggest available size, watermelon juice and Mantou bread.
First impressions looks decent, brilliant presentation, first bite and it tasted like I ordered something of shrimp instead of crab, it clearly overpowered the dish.
I ordered for the biggest available size of crab and it felt like the crab was malnutritioned with very little meat in it. I was highly disappointed.
Ambience is strictly average with seating not very ergonomic, forget it if you’re going for a good dining session.
I was infuriated when the bill came, I was charged for tidbits on the table that we didn’t ask for, we thought it was complimentary. In all we paid over RM230 for this disappointing meal.
Absolutely a waste of money in my opinion. I would not go again...
Read moreMy family and I decided to have a simple dinner one night and tried DNM. Unfortunately we had a bad experience. A Chinese middle age female order taker with black long hair and black frame spectacle gave us that unhappy look when we decided not to order their expensive fish and went for the simple dishes. You could tell instantly from the look on her face. The immigrant workers that served us steamed rice have great attitude and smile.
To be fair the dishes was not bad although I could get cheaper elsewhere.
Come dessert time, we wanted red bean soup for a few person and she recommended to make a small portion. It turned out that the red bean soup can serve more than 14 persons. Feeling cheated and with that poor service attitude this would be my 1st and last time visiting DNM. If you visit DNM i suggest not to go for the red bean soup dessert as the bean was hard and was not fully cooked.
Just my personal...
Read moreThe pork free canto fare was decent in terms of taste and freshness (especially the seafood). But.. there were dishonesty in the way they calculated the weight of the live fish. We ordered the tiger grouper (148 per kg) but we were charged 238. The price of a soonhock was 238 per kg. When I questioned the validity of the price, the lady at the counter, I assume was the manager, started punching in different weights (1.3kg, 1.4kg and 1.6kg) to try to arrive at 238 to no avail. And then she just mentioned it was 1.4 and corrected the price. She was also rather abrasive towards me and the family stating that we should just listen to her and accept it. I'm ok if a mistake was made, but her rude and unethical actions left a distaste and we vouched...
