The Siu Yoke Shop - Hartamas Shopping Centre — Restaurant in Kuala Lumpur

I ordered the dry Chinese ramen with triple meat (RM23.50). Spoiler alert: some hits, some misses.

First up, the char siew was love at first bite. Soft, tender, and just the right amount of caramelisation, with a slight char on the edges. The fatty bits literally melted in my mouth. For the roast pork belly, I went for the lean cut, which had a crispy crust. It was fine – not too oily, not too dry – but it didn’t have that "wow" factor I’d hoped for.

The roast chicken was a bit of a letdown. While it was cooked well and tender, the black pepper seasoning was the dominant flavour. The ramen was topped with pork lard and a handful of veggies. The service was fast and efficient.

All in all, Boon Signature Roast Pork has some gems, especially that heavenly char siew, but for the price, I’d hoped for a bit more...

Atmosphere 3/5 fully air-conditioning with cool white spot lights lit up very brightly

Food 4/5 my preferred is wan tan mee noodle with roast pork and char siew N04 portion is about medium size.

Can say the wan tan mee here is better than many places I Been or simple better than any shop in bentong pahang but no match with meng kee.

Pricing 2/5 price is quite expensive but for shopping mall consider decent

Service 4/5 Immediately sit down waiter bring menu and you need to write your order yourself and I wave they come collect.

Later the robot with wheel will delivery the food to your table.

Simple everyday meal at premium price - cheaper than restaurant more than kopitiam. Looks deceptively ordinary BUT taste it and it’s like going home - to a time in life when everything tasted right.

Seriously, char siew so so good, roast pork skin was melt-in-your-mouth crispy, and the konloh mee just hits the spot - like pasta al dente - fresh springy with a bite! in soy mix sauce that brought my childhood to memory.

The wantan soup, hot jasmine tea and pickled green chilli...
