We were supposed to celebrate my father's birthday on that day, and since he enjoys Chinese cuisine, we recommended this place. However, it was found that almost all the captains and managers were busy serving another table who offered free cocktails and wine to them! In fact, the customers were noticeably purchased an additional 2 bottles from the grocery below to have drinks with them. So, all our orders were incorrect and service was bad.
The captains were evidently disrupted by the kind offer from the next table and did not gather our order correctly. For instance, the portion served was wrong, with 10 of us sharing only 6 small pieces of pork ribs? The sautéed Green Dragon vegetable was so little that each of us could have only eaten not more than 10 pieces? Can you imagine that we could literally count how many pieces of Green Dragon vegetable we could eat? The manager should have suggested us for alternate options considering the no of pax we have because this is his area of expertise, but not letting us to guess the size/portion of the food.
All the other Chinese managers were also equally disrupted. For instance, a lady manager who was supposedly guide the other waiters to serve our Peking duck, just casually instructed the foreign waiter and quickly joined the next table for her free cocktails! So the first plate of duck served was only 8 pieces, only then the waiter realized he needed to serve the remaining when he noticed the insufficient portion and our baffled looks. And with all this, the lady manager was busy drinking her cocktail on the next table, cheering and joking with the ladies, not knowing what happen.
Sometimes the hot food was also served at the side where my baby was sitting—it was extremely dangerous!
Loud cheers and shouting were consistently heard from the table offering free wine/cocktails to the captains. We understand that this is a Chinese dining place where some Chinese customers enjoy casual "yam seng," but what made us furious was that the shouting of "yam seng" and cheers were in fact coming from the captains and managers instead.
Perhaps it was a casual day with not many customers, Perhaps the customers who offered the drink were some VIPS or friends, However, we find that being a prestigious 5 star restaurant group, you should have higher standard and remained a high level of professionalism by putting all your customers equally important and prioritized on the service offered.
What we have seen on that day was almost all Chinese speaking captains/managers surrounded on that table to make cocktails for the few ladies and drink together with them, cheering and laughing as if they own the place with most of the captains/managers were seen red faces at the end of our meal! Drunk~
This can be reflected in the event where we had asked to serve our cake for our dad, but the captain would just stood on that table and shouted instruction at the foreign waiter.
We could have easily gotten a better service and food at any roadside seafood restaurant without having drunk and high captains/managers serving us haphazardly.
It is totally unprofessional and a great utter disappointment over such service offered. We ended up having to repeat orders of certain dishes and adding on other dishes because the food portions offered were incorrect. None of us enjoy the food and service at the end of the day.
The only waiter who remained helpful was a foreign worker who, despite his lack of understanding in Chinese and English, had tried his best to serve us.
I have been your group supporter for many years with many business dinners organized and even having my weddings arranged in one of your branches. But this experience really speaks something and I cannot be more disappointed and ashamed for having my father, who celebrated his 66 birthday under such...

Went with a few friends before Chinese New Year. We picked this outlet in particular due to the convenience for everyone, since we all love around Damansara, TTDI & Mont' Kiara area. With agreement of course. The interior decoration was really nice, a bit on the posh side as a matter of fact, compared to the more traditional Chinese restaurants I've been to. Reminded me a bit of dining in a hotel.
Yee Sang. The Yee Sang came first. One of the best Yee sang I've ever eaten! The one we ordered came with Jellyfish as an extra side.
Butter Prawns. One of my favorite dishes. The prawns were fresh and succulent and the crumbs were tastefully crispy. The one thing I really love about deep fried prawns is that I can even eat the shells with the prawn.
Steamed Fish. Nice and flavor-able.
Glutinous Rice. Not a big fan of this dish. Normally served right towards the end of the meal, this dish is suppose to fill up the remaining gaps in your stomach should the previous mains have yet to satisfy it yet. I was so full by then I only took a spoon full of it.
Dessert Unfortunately. . Tasted a bit too sweet and...
Read moreDined here many times with family of 13-15 people.. yet still haven't really understood the parking lots and the way the whole mall and shoplots were designed.. it's a maze!.. like Maze Runner when u are late for dinner..
This time around, the specky "captain" (I'm a specky guy too..) who took our orders from us was in a snobbish mood.. no smiles, poker faced..u know like making you feel like beggars in a 3- star Michelin restaurant ?..All waiters were foreigners and they just barged in to put food on the table or topping up teas, without an "excuse me" .. not a sound.. what happened to staff training? Disappointing!! ☹️
Anyways, luckily enough, the food made up for the poor services. Every dish was tasty and fish were fresh and cooked just right, the deep fried frog legs and ginger chips were yummy, the roast goose were good, not great (not fatty enough..) and the giant de-skinned prawn ball deep fried and cooked in special sauce with strawberry bits were absolutely delicious 😋 😋 Apart from parking (next time pay more to have valet parking - rm15).. and the poor services, we had an...
