BBQ NIGHTS — Restaurant in Kuala Lumpur

Whenever I see TripAdvisor decals on windows I tend to shudder because I once removed every review I had ever put up on their site when they requested that I change the wording of one of them, & I have never used them again. This restaurant caught my eye as it was very close to my hotel. I decided to try it for lunch one day but I could not get a table. I noticed that it had good reviews so I made a special effort to get there early enough for dinner the next night. In late afternoon the heavens opened but, undaunted I ventured out under brolley to get there before the rush. It is located on the corner of Jalan Ramlee & a street whose name escapes me. Many of the tables were soaked during the rainstorm & the staff were quickly mopping up & getting things shipshape again. I was given a menu to peruse & as soon as things became a bit more orderly a staff member took my order from the huge selection on the menu. I opted for a lamb curry with a rice side dish & one roti to mop up the juices. As this restaurant does not serve alcohol I chose a yoghurt lassie. I was assured that the curry would be mild but whew! It had a bit of spice to it! The lamb was tender & the roti was divine. The rice was good too! I found that the heat of the spices was just a touch too warm for me but it did not detract from the quality of food which was excellent. I make my own roti at home but theirs was...

I recently visited this place and unfortunately, my dining experience left much to be desired. Firstly, the service was disappointingly slow, as it took quite a while for our food to be served.

To add to the frustration, I ordered an ice lemon tea, but to my dismay, I received an ice lime tea instead, without any explanation or apology. It was disappointing to pay for one thing and receive another without any clarification.

Furthermore, the BBQ sauce provided with the meal was diluted and lacked flavor. It felt more like watered-down sauce, which greatly impacted the overall taste of the food. The dishes themselves were noticeably dry, leaving me unsatisfied with my meal.

The worst experience ever. Had a guest so took her there. Thought on the basis of the useless reviews it would be a good spot to let the guest have some worth able BBQ. Ordered a BBQ platter and it turns out to be just simply tasteless. The chef happens to be from my hometown unfortunately too, when called upon and asked why is that fish in there so poorly done, why even the kebabs are so tasteless and he goes that it's not his choice but asked to serve such because it gets all marinated in some other kitchen and then brought here for us to grill. What came as a surprise was when he said he too doesn't likes the way it is but been doing as asked and wondering why do we have such good reviews on BBQ, prolly that's how people like it.
