Stayed in a one bedroom suite on floor 13A for 2 weeks. Glad to have had the extra space as the suite is very roomy with everything you need; comfortable living room, large walk in closet, large bathroom, kitchen with clean utensils, clean microwave, beautiful floor to ceiling city views in the bedroom and living room.
The room was quiet and perfect for 2 people.
The location is 10/10. Excellent. Walking distance to Petronas, malls, restaurants, coffee shops, etc and is actually a very pleasant and safe area to walk around any time of day. Grab pick up and drop off is easy here. Security helps guide them to the lobby turn around area which is covered and convenient.
Good cleaning staff. Our room was pretty clean upon arrival and they did a good job with the daily house keeping.
The elevators use a face scan instead of your room card to allow you up to your floor. We had no issues with this. It was very efficient and enjoyed not having to fumble for a card everytime I entered the elevator.
The gym and pool were nice but not outstanding. The gym was a bit dated. 2 out of the 3 treadmills didn’t work, no cleaning towels or spray to clean the equipment before and after use which made it feel gross. On occasion I saw a worker come through after you hit some machines to wipe it down but only saw this once and idk how often they do this. Wide range of equipment overall. Pool loungers are nice and there’s a good view from up here but again, everything feels a bit worn down and I couldn’t find pool towels which would have been nice to have.
Staff was ok. Not the most enthusiastic the times we spoke with them. No concierge/luggage help, no room service or hotel restaurant/lounge. We knew these things when booking but worth knowing if it’s something you are looking for.
The only issues we had with our room was the occasional roach unfortunately. Even on a high floor we would see a few a week mostly in our bathroom around the floor drain and once in the kitchen. Also when we showered, the floor outside filled with water from spraying through the cracks in the shower door.
For the cost, all in all it was good value and I would probably stay here again. The things we didn’t like are small and nit-picky. Overall it was an excellent...
Read moreMy first time at Apartments/suites. Had a mix experience. |||There is Cormar Hotel and Cormar Suites. We stayed in Suites which is an apartment in May 2023.| |1. Great location with multiple restaurants, 7-Elevens, Petronas & KL tower at a walking distance||2. There is only security guards for suites and no reception/staff. It remains a suspense unless the Apartment owner calls & connects with you and directs you to fetch the keys from a locker on the ground floor. No humans involved....all on Whatsapp calls. Not receiving call till afternoon made me anxious and I was about to book Cormar hotel room thinking I got scammed.||3. Kitchenette was fine however Coffee maker had a residue of coffee from previous use and was not clean.||4. There was no house keeping all 3 nights 4 days we stayed there. As a result the bathroom was extremely dirty and remained moist all the time due to water from shower area leaking beyond the bathroom door. I could not find a mop to clean up the bathroom. We did our beddings etc. ||5. I was always informed that the cleaner rang the bell and left because we did not open the door. It was really lame and I felt stupid. ||6. On getting the key from the locker, face recognition is done to use the elevator however in our four days stay, it was not done and so we had to depend on the security guard to help us operate the elevator with his access.||7. At Checkout you have to take a video of you placing the key in the locker and send it to the owner to close the transaction.||I recommend you stay at Cormar Hotel instead and not at Suites as cleanliness is a major problem and you cannot have immediate access to the owner who will answer your Whatsapp call as per her/his convenience.||Aru from Cormar Hotel next doors was extremely helpful and made us feel comfortable. ||Next time if I visit KL, I will stay at...
Read moreWe initially wanted to stay at the Majestic but the main building was under renovation (Note: NEVER stay in an Annex) and the Cormar was recommended. This was the first time we’ve used a self catering apartment in years - simply put, it was excellent. True, the sofa was incredibly uncomfortable and the room could do with a lick of good quality paint but it has all the bells and whistles; the main benefit was the service. || The reception ladies were unfailingly helpful throughout (we were given a new TV and connected to Netflix within minutes) and they link themselves to the guests via WhatsApp; this was extremely useful when ordering food – the company owns the restaurants at ground level, together with a pub across the road (The Dark Horse) and menus are sent by PDF to your phone and orders placed with reception for delivery to the room; it all worked very efficiently.||The location is as central as you can get, with virtually all needs catered for within walking distance, although taxis are cheap in KL. A tip: don’t activate Grab Taxi until you’re on the street - both Google and the driver get confused as to where the entrance is (which, to be fair, is not that obvious and a bigger/better sign would be useful.)||All in all, an excellent establishment; extremely well run by pleasant, competent staff, well located and good value for money. ...
