EQ Kuala Lumpur — Hotel in Kuala Lumpur

Hi Sam here. 13Aug to 16Aug|Twas’ is an Amazing Staycation. !! Actually it was my wedding staycation. Right after my wedding day. I had no idea of going Kuala Lumpur. That very night on 13th I made my booking. Without looking at the reviews and whatsoever I made it to EQ in the morning. Even though it was such a sudden booking made, EQ team handled it with such a grace. First before arriving in Kuala Lumpur I made a call to ensure my booking for the EQUATOR CLUB ROOMS AND SUITES with the Club Lounge Access was received and confirmed by EQ team, and I was connected to Miss Anna, she was the superhero of my whole stay. |I appreciated how they kept in touch with me all the way through to when my wife and I checked in,from the ground up to the check in process at Club Lounge at level 50. |We arrived directly to level 50 and my wife and I was greeted like a mass guest. We were given morning snacks and food to be taken upon arrival. |Mr Atif was kind enough to lead us throughout the process, and for my surprise, the room was well equipped and made done well waited for our arrival. It was such a relief moment. We were seated and given the whole presentation of the room by details lead to the room. | All the staff we encountered appeared to be skilled at providing a very personal touch even as they try to meet our needs time to time, Krishen, the club lounge supervisor made us feel welcomed and address our questions (which was really impressive given the number of guests each of them interacts with on a daily basis). I don't regret splurging for the Premier club king because the view KL Towers you’ll see them lit up whilst lying in your bed, also enjoying stunning city views from the other windows and also Merdeka 118 tower view :) The room was equipped with all the amenities you'd expect in such a room and I enjoyed the turn down service which 'freshened' up the room especially if you'd spent some time in it after housekeeping did their run. Shoel was kind to meet all the expectations till decorated my room when we were out for some day trip and when we were back, the room was decorated with welcome drinks and fruits, and also Anna was very attentive of my arrival back to the hotel, she greeted us at the room, holding a bouquet as a token of our wedding. Anna was such a great sport. ||I really enjoyed EQ's club facilities and the folk there who really go above and beyond for the guests. Mr. Krishen was there every day to patiently troubleshoot issues when we needed help, and I need to mention, Mr Krishnan too, who were the chef at the lounge, met us everytime and greeted and ask for our well being at the hotel and he check in on me everyday all the way till I checked out, which something he really didn't need to do. My wife and I really enjoyed him showing us around the hotel and expertly describing its facilities, which was really helpful in planning things to do in the hotel during the staycation. Ms. MJ was always ready to set us up with afternoon tea and sundowners in the peaceful, calm lounge, and I ended up choosing to spend most of the afternoons and evenings relaxing to her, and her colleagues, Virthiga and Syafiq very attentive hospitality. |We were also blown away by the variety and quality of local cuisine at breakfast in the Nipah restaurant with many regional hits that never repeated over the few days that we were there. In addition to the very awesome freeflow teh tarik, a special shout out to whoever makes the many sambals that accompanied various dishes.|I don't think it gets better than this - a clean luxury hotel with a distinctive and warm Malaysian sensibility, one that I am sure to stay at again next time I am in town. Since my first booking with Anna for 2 nights, I wanted to surprise my wife since she was really comfortable and happy enjoying and her inner child came out, I met Anna and Krishen again at club lounge, to ask for an extension night and they gave me a very good deal which is surprisingly gave me an extension of another night.. Anna was such a good hospitality person she gave us the best deal for the day and even made a RSVP to the Skybar dinner night. We enjoyed well on Friday 15Aug night. We spend most of the time in the Hotel. |The hotel was beautifully and artfully furnished, and the friendly and pleasant staff were always ever ready to assist the guests with their queries. Services provided were excellent and prompt. A special shoutout the club lounge team, especially, Anna, Krishnan, Ain, Nurul, Shafiq, Atif and MJ plus others who I did not managed to get their names. Oh, Ashik, my room attendant was ever ready to make sure my room is set up perfect each day! Their attention to details and the warm interaction made for a memorable trip and I wholeheartedly appreciate them. |I would made this as my first choice for a luxurious stay again when I’m in Kuala Lumpur....

Although our first stay was quite exceptional, they were some minor hiccups here and there. So, EQ graciously extended a complimentary upgrade to their Premier King Infinity room with breakfast for our next stay. I cannot help but feel a lingering sentiment of guilt for not gracing them with a full 5 stars that they so richly deserved the first time. So, I'm writing for a second time.

The level of hospitality and attention to detail extended to us during our stay was simply impeccable. I must confess, our stay at this hotel this time has been an absolute dream. The opulence of the lobby, the attentive and gracious staff and the sheer elegance of the room, have all conspired to make this the most exceptional hotel stay we've ever had. The experience has truly left me pampered and spoiled in the very best way lmao

Last time we stayed in the Premier King room, this time it was the Premier King Infinity room instead. Mere words wouldn't justify the elegance of this room, top-of-the-line amenities and most importantly the cityscape. This is prolly one of the best rooms I've stayed so far. The view from the expansive windows was nothing short pf magnificent. I felt in love with this room fr. The thing is that, this room is quite expensive compared to other hotels with comparatively larger rooms being offered for the exact same price. Nonetheless, every penny you'd spend here, be justified, rest assured. If I were to be offered a lifetime complimentary upgrade to this room, I'd forever be spoiled for choice when it comes to future accommodations lol 😂 That's how lovely this room was fr

They were still some minor inconveniences this time around as well. Nothing major, but just some minor inconveniences that might have been overlooked by the cleaning staff. The breakfast buffet, while undoubtedly lavish, was somewhat lacking in varieties. As for the Indian cuisine, it had the making of a stellar experience but fell short of meeting the expectation of authenticity. The idli was quite hard too. The complimentary refreshments were divine, I couldn't help but wish for a little extra. Only two bottles of juices were provided for the entire stay. It'd be better if all the carbonated soft drinks could be replaced by these type of fruit juices. Just a humble thought though✌🏻The on-demand movie selection while undoubtedly splendid, but I had really wished they were more options honestly like Netflix or smtg. While the hotel has many positive aspects, I was surprised and inconvenienced by the absence of convenience features like a safe deposit box and an iron and ironing board in the rooms. It would greatly enhance the overall experience if these items were made available. Although I appreciate the complimentary cake, the taste of it was somewhat lackluster and didn't quite match my palate tho.

Despite these minor imperfections, our overall experience at EQ was positive and the exceptional and impeccable service by the staff far outweighed any shortcomings. No mere star rating could accurately capture the exceptional excellence of their service, luxury and hospitality. I rarely write reviews for any place I visit tbh but the Premier King Infinity room has truly won my heart and set the bar impossibly high for any other hotels I may encounter in the future. Due to our hectic schedule, we couldn't even visit their signature Sky51, Sanctum spa and Infinity pool. Such a bummer tho 😭 To have EQ associated with anything less than the highest praise would be a disservice to the unrivaled standard of brilliance they uphold. Pls avoid this hotel unless u wanna become hopelessly enamored by its splendour.Thx for the charming and attentive staff for this remarkable, indelible contentment....

My wife and I just completed our second stay at EQ Hotel Kuala Lumpur, and once again, it exceeded all expectations. We spent nine wonderful nights here, and from the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and well taken care of.

Everything about this hotel is simply outstanding. The level of service provided is exceptional—every staff member we encountered was warm, professional, and genuinely dedicated to making our stay memorable. The cleanliness of the hotel is remarkable, with every space maintained to the highest standards.

The breakfast each morning was a delight, offering a wide variety of high-quality options that made starting our day a pleasure. Having access to the Club was another highlight, as the food and beverages there were fantastic, and the attentive service made it even better.

One of the standout aspects of EQ is the gym—equipped with top-of-the-line Technogym machines, it’s well-maintained, spacious, and perfect for keeping up with fitness routines. The amenities throughout the hotel are top-notch, but the pool area is truly next level. They’ve upgraded it, and now, while swimming, you can hear music underwater—a unique and relaxing touch. The jacuzzi and saunas were also excellent, adding to the luxurious experience.

The concierge team was incredibly helpful, always ready to assist with anything we needed. A special thank you to Faizal and Sam, who went above and beyond.

The hospitality at the Club was exceptional, thanks to Kirishen, MJ, and Afif, who made our time there so enjoyable. A special mention to Anna, the Club Manager, whose professionalism and warm approach elevated our experience even further.

The bars and restaurants at EQ are outstanding: • Blue (the rooftop bar) offers breathtaking views of Kuala Lumpur and an excellent atmosphere. A special thank you to Dedi, Iqbal, Boy, and Lyn for their great service and hospitality. • Sky51 was one of the best bar and restaurant experiences we have ever had. The ambiance, the service, and the food were truly exceptional. A special thank you to David, the manager of Sky51, who ensured that every moment we spent there was perfect. • Bottega (the lobby bar) had a wonderful selection of drinks, and Nicolas was exceptional in making sure we had a great time.

A huge thank you as well to Casper from the front desk—every interaction with him was smooth, friendly, and welcoming. And, of course, we must mention the Director of Customer Experience, who personally ensured that our stay was nothing short of extraordinary. Her efforts truly made a difference.

Everything about EQ Hotel—its service, luxury, ambiance, and attention to detail—makes it an absolute gem in Kuala Lumpur. The view from the hotel is simply breathtaking, adding to the overall charm of the stay.

We will definitely return to EQ again and again, and we highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for an exceptional experience in Kuala Lumpur. Whether you want to relax, indulge in great service, or simply enjoy a luxurious stay, EQ Hotel will surpass your expectations.
