Cold storage is one of the prominent supermarket stores in the city of Kuala Lumpur. I got the chance to visit one of its branch inside Petronas Suria KLCC building, offering a wide variety of products seafood, meats, fresh fruits, dairy products, gift hampers, treats & cookies, beverages, munchies, processed foods, bakery, confectionary, health and wellness products.
Cold storage has dedicated sections for all the aforementioned products. It is a perfect place for gourmet shopping and quite popular among expats residing in the Kuala Lumpur.
The superstore is massive in size and you can barely run out of options. Many of the products are imported. You will find imported fruits from Australia, US New Zealand.
I went to their seafood section area, which is well maintained and not stinking at all. You can rather smell the ocean. it is well maintained and you have great selections to make when it comes to seafood.
They offer a great variety of liquor and there are no restrictions even during Ramadan or EID.
The place is really huge in size and remains busy most of the times till evening. Perhaps, it doesn't look crowded at all. They have many cash counters. The staff is quick and friendly.
It is worth visiting for everyone right from expats, budget travelers, localities.
They have good discounts and offer during Ramadan and Eid. I have managed to share the discounted prices on various products.
The store is pricey though but you can still expect decent prices due to the wide variety in each product.
This place is highly...
Read moreCold Storage KLCC is a convenient supermarket for the public, nearby residents, and office workers. A popular spot for quick grocery runs.
Despite catering to a diverse and often international crowd, the variety of products can be limited. For instance, some basic items like small bottles of olive oil are not available, which is surprising given the store’s upscale setting.
The store layout also feels quite cramped—narrow aisles filled with displays leave little room to move, and navigating around other customers with trolleys can be frustrating.
The salad bar is another highlight, offering a good mix of fresh ingredients for those looking for a healthy, ready-to-eat option.
The checkout system is one of the store’s strengths. Multiple counters are usually open, so queues are short and move quickly, even during peak times.
Overall, Cold Storage KLCC is a convenient stop for essentials, but there’s room for improvement in both space planning and...
Read moreI recently visited your Cold Storage branch at KLCC on Saturday, October 12th, and encountered an unpleasant experience at Counter 3. While attempting to make a payment, I encountered some issues with my payment method, and after a few attempts, I decided not to proceed with the purchase. I informed the staff that I want to cancel order and move back to return the items to their respective shelves. However, the cashier reacted with an unfriendly and impatient expression, raising her voice to ask where I was going. When I explained that I intended to put the items back, she, with an annoyed expression, informed me that she had already canceled the order, said that I did not need to return the items. I found her behavior unnecessarily harsh and unprofessional. I hope that your team can take this as an opportunity to provide better training for your staff to ensure a more pleasant shopping experience for...
