Review: Cendol Durian
I recently tried the Cendol Durian, and here are my thoughts:
Durian Quality: The durian portion was quite generous, but unfortunately, the quality was lacking. The wrinkled seeds indicated that the durian was not fresh. Additionally, there were no fresh durians on display, which is usually a good sign of freshness. When I inquired, the receptionist mentioned that fresh durians would only be available around June or July, as it is not currently durian season. This detracted from the overall experience since durian is supposed to be the star ingredient.
Pricing: The cendol costs RM 21 without glutinous rice, with an additional RM 2 charge for takeaway. While the portion size was ample, I’m not sure if it’s worth the price considering the quality of the durian.
Ambiance and Location: I visited on a Saturday night and the place wasn't crowded. It's conveniently located close to Leo Hotel, where I was staying. The proximity is a plus if you're looking for something nearby.
Alternatives: If durian isn't your preference, there are plenty of other options around. The next restaurant offers chicken legs and seafood, and there are many other stalls with a variety of foods.
Overall Impression: While the generous portion is a plus, the lack of fresh durian and the high price point make it hard to justify. It might be worth waiting until the durian season to get the best experience. For now, there are plenty of other food stalls...
Read moreWe were keen to taste some durian kampung before leaving KL and stumbled across this place online. Prices were excellent and plenty of fruit was present despite the approaching end of durian season. The assistant was careful to open up a couple of durians to ensure they were mature, and insisted we taste them before buying—very honest and keen to ensure satisfaction. With durian kampung you aren’t guaranteed the sweetness of the fancy cultivars, but the range and complexity of flavours makes the experience far more interesting, and our fruit (RM24 total!) was sweet, rich and creamy. Boleh...

Ini kalinya pertama jejak kaki di sini. Tadi ada hantar barang berdekatan PWTC, ternampaklah kedai cendol ni. Pantanglah nampak kedai cendol, mestilah nak rasa.
Jadi, singgahlah dan buat pesanan. Nak order Cendol Biasa macam biasa sangat. Harga pun ok RM4.
Bosan jugalah makan satu-satu. Serius banyak wei!
Bolehlah layan sambil makan tu. Sambil-sambil tu, hulurlah sekupang dua kat busker tu. Mana tahu nak masuk kelas vokal ke kelas muzik ke nak buat gig ke nanti haa.
Nak cerita pasal rasa, mai je kedai ni....
