I normally don't write bad review unless the experience was terrible than my expectations. I just returned to Malaysia few days ago and was told Chagee is one of the must-try so I gave it a try, unfortunately, I would like to give a 0 if Google allows. One of the worst experience I ever had in my life.
I was expecting to place order using their QR Code. Before ordering, the given link prompted to send me a OTP code, I attempted multiple times but didn't receive any OTP code, so the friendly Malay greeter (I think his name is Elmi) tried to help but still failed. He asked the female cashier (Her name is J*n, call her J) if I could order without using the QR code. J answered him impatiently with her rude face "Use wifi!". I was surprised because of her attitude. Elmi then gave me the wifi password and tried but still couldn't work. So I had my wife to try on her phone but her phone didnt receive the OTP code too, so we knew it was not our problem. Then we asked J if we could order directly since she was standing right in front of the counter. J then showed her pissed face and asked what we wanted. Her behavior caught me unguarded so I didn't even check the menu and told her I wanted the Grapefruit Jasmine Tea (I found this drink on the online menu before I headed to the store so that's what stick to my mind) and she told me impatiently this store didn't have this flavor. Sigh. So I just ordered the classic one and made payment.
Since this was my first time ordering, I didn't know where to pickup so I just stood around the delivery pickup by the counter. This J impolitely told me "this is delivery pickup area, in-store order need to pickup inside!". I was shocked by her response, what the f is wrong with her? I couldn't believe what just happened, but I just smiled with my wife and moved to the pickup station. Elmi then politely passed me the drink and said thank you.
Hello J, I am here to buy drinks and I don't owe you nothing, why are you showing me attitude? This is super unprofessional and it shouldn't happen in this industry. I dont care if J had a bad day or what, if you are so done with this job, just quit or take a day off. Don't pour your emotion on customers like us.
To Chagee, this matter should be taken seriously. It seems that other bad reviews relates with J as well. She doesn't deserve a position that prepares beverage, handles payment or serves customers. Frankly speaking, Elmi did a better job than her in this store and he really deserves a raise or promotion.
This is my first and last time getting Chagee. I hope Chagee investigates this issue and fixes it, so other customers don't get affected in the future. Good luck. Date: March 6, 2023 Time: 2.20pm -...
Read moreI don’t understand why need to forced people to sign up with our phone number just to order. If I’m keen to join as member or for point collection, then it’s fine. I occasionally will buy there and I think the main reason they implement this so called QR ordering not to skip the Q, but for data collection of customer data information. This doesn’t make any sense. Why can’t you guys do like other f&b where they uses QR to ordering platform for the purpose to place order and make payment at the counter without needed to leave name and contact number. After signing up, realize they no longer sell the grapefruit & the variety fruit , after signup only the staff inform. The menu is freaking small at the counter which is not visible at all. If you guys wanna do like Starbucks concept, then invest money in featuring menu board at the above counter top so easier for customer to see and view. Such an irrelevant outlet rebranding and doesn’t make any sense at all. To management: Do yourself a favour, study and do more insight on marketing insight before...
Read moreCHAGEE Sri Petaling is one of my favourite spots when I’m in the area and craving good-quality tea. This outlet is spacious, clean, and gives off a calm, minimalist vibe — perfect for sitting down to chill, or catch up with friends. T
The tea here lives up to CHAGEE’s premium image — fragrant, smooth, and well-balanced. I usually go for their White Peach Oolong or Da Hong Pao milk tea, and both are consistently satisfying. You can really taste the difference in tea quality compared to standard bubble tea shops. Plus, you can adjust sugar and ice levels to your liking, which is a plus.
The staff are friendly and helpful, and service is usually fast even during peak hours. They sometimes run promotions or member deals, so I always check the app before ordering.
Parking in Sri Petaling can be a little tricky during peak hours, but it’s still manageable if you know the area. Overall, it’s a great place to take a break or pick up a drink to go. Definitely one of the better CHAGEE outlets in...
