Cincin — Restaurant in Kuala Lumpur

This place is really not suitable for major celebrations. The atmosphere and vibe are nice, but I was frustrated by the speed of the food, even we have pre-order for the set menu.

I booked a 8.30pm time slot on Valentine's Day and arrived on time. But when my girlfriend and I arrived, no one greeted us or told us where we were supposed to sit. We had no idea where we were supposed to sit until we went to the front desk to ask, they told us we were upstairs and gave us a “table number” and called us go upstairs and find the table ourselves, but didn't tell us it was the second or third floor. Okay, that's fine, we went upstairs ourselves. When we went upstairs, the funny thing happened, there were no numbers on the tables...how could we find our seats...there still no staff to lead us to the table, even asked few staff...we just stood there like the clowns.

Okay fine, after a while, finally someone led us to our seats. As we have pre-order, the staff has confirmed with us for the pre-order meals. And after that, we seemed to become invisible people in the corner. We were not provided with a drink menu at all, but the seats next to us had drink menus and their drinks were already served...

Although we had pre-ordered, we still had to wait half an hour for the appetizer to be served, and almost another half an hour for the first main course to be served. My partner's main course was only served 1 hour after the appetizer.

After finishing the main course, the waiter came to take the plates away. At this time, it was already around 10pm, and we began to look forward to the dessert after the meal. The most annoying thing happened. After the waiter took away the plates, it took nearly 20 minutes, and the dessert was still not served. Some tables next to us had already finished their desserts and left. So we asked a waiter and asked him how long we would have to wait for our dessert. The waiter told us that he would check, but there was no follow-up after that. After waiting for 40 minutes, the dessert still hadn't arrived, but many other tables' desserts had arrived, so we asked another waiter. The waiter told us that it was being prepared and apologized to us. After waiting for another 15 minutes, the dessert still hadn't arrived. We asked the third staff and getting the answer still preparing.

Finally, an hour after the waiter took away the plates, the dessert was finally served at around 11pm. This was a bad experience for me and even though I had booked it and pre-order, this still happened. This matter not only consumed my patience, but also wasted a...

Made reservation for for 2 pax. Seeing the theme as Valentine, was expecting something special with some decorations.

Table given to me was not by the window, it was right in the middle between 2 long tables along other guests, which were not a metre apart as per SOP. I felt really uncomfortable to be so close to other guests on next table, I requested to move to another table further away. Waitress was polite and very accommodating and obliged. I wondered why they didn't provide a table at a corner or further away for more privacy.

I must say I was pretty disappointed with the deco and setting. There was practically nothing set on the table to welcome guests who specially booked for valentine menu. Nothing romantic at all. Just a bare table with a vase of plastic flowers which can be found on every table. Why do you theme the menu valentine when you can provide nothing of that feel???

Food was alright. I loved the entree, soup, and main course very much. Disaster came when I saw the dessert. I didn't know dessert was just 2 heart shaped chocolate with very sour berries on it. The green tea ice cream was so little, just one small expresso cup? Seriously for 2 people to share? For the price of the menu, it doesn't cost a lot to give 2 decent scoups for 2 diners. You scored so well on the whole menu in terms of taste.. and failed the dessert. I did not enjoy it at all. I felt it was too elementary for an ending to finish off the so-called fine dining.

The noise was unbearable as the crowd increased. I must raise my voice to talk to my guest as the atmosphere was too noisy. The other table guests were getting louder and rowdier as they down more and more cups of wine.

Overall this place still deserves 3 stars from me as the food was delicious to my liking, except for the dessert. Also the waitresses were great, very attentive and polite. Apart from that, atmosphere was bad. Totally zero effort in table setting and deco to pass to even call it 1% romantic. There are many places with good food out there. But I chose this place as the menu looked very interesting and was expecting something special, an unforgettable experience with my guest. But I left this place with great disappointment with the price that I paid for the meal.

Advice: If you want to have a drink and chat with friends.. can laugh and talk loudly, you can opt for this place. If you are looking forward to having a nice quiet romantic evening with someone special, forget this place. Go elsewhere. You can get places far more romantic with decorations...

Fabulous experience. When you ask for lemon juice without sugar. They gave you a lemon juice with sugar. When you asked them is it without sugar? He said it’s with sugar. You asked him “what did I ordered?” He said “lemon juice without sugar” and what did you served me? Lemon juice with sugar. Okay. He changed another glass for me. Again, what did you served me? Second glass is Lemongrass with lemon and the servant lied that I had ordered a lemongrass with lemon. Please check your CCTV. Lol. I don’t mind if you served the wrong drinks but please do not lie! You’re humiliating me. Also, you said the house wine is good while I’m asking for a good wine & I trusted you. But the house red is not good at all 🤷🏻‍♀️ Yet, we still pay for it because of Ketir’s good service and explanation. We do appreciate your effort but I’m so disappointed when your GM is sitting right behind me and he seen everything, he heard everything BUT HE DO NOTHING AT ALL. Lol.
