ive been here once before and had an overall okay experience, sadly i cannot say the same anymore. I arrived at 11:30am when they were opening and instead of letting us come in and sit down instead of burning in the sun because of THEIR lack of punctuality they barely acknowledged us and let us stand there. They didnt come and apologise and inform us that we'd have to wait they just let us stand there for 5-10 mins. There was a woman and a man working, the man had a HORRIBLE attitude and when i finally went in at around 11:40 and asked if we could be seated first he said no twice. Then while showing me face he pulled out the chairs and said we could seat there.
The lady informed us the food would take awhile which we were happy as she had the courtesy to tell us. we ordered the kimchi stew and thought it was alar carte with no rice so we were confused and asked the waited to double check if he gave us set instead. Again, showed us face, didnt even want to stand and talk to us, just turned his back and walked away before we were even done. The lady then came and reassured us that it was alar carte.
I thougjt that was the end of it but NO. A COCKROACH CAME OUT OF MY TRAY. MY FRIEND had to KILL IT. As im terrified of insects, i completely lost my appetite and didnt finish my food. I was left utterly disgusted. And she showed the cockroach to the waiter and he just grabbed it and left. Not a WORD OF SORRY. When we paid the bill, i expected at least an apology if theyre not giving me a discount. Still, no apology and i had to TELL HIM, to say sorry next time if theres a literal cockroach on the table? that your CUSTOMERS DINE ON?
Lastly IGNORE THE OVERWHELMING POSITIVE REVIEWS. its because they give free food and drinks if you review them 5 stars, hence the amount of positive reviews when the food is mediocre at best. Only selling point is that its affordable. The last time i came the korean owner was there and service was decent. when she wasnt around, restaurant is a mess. The taste is suprisingly good - mild spicy, thick sauce rich with soybean paste, refreshingly cool, noodle is chewy but not overly soggy, freshly julienne cucumber, and half a boiled-egg with fresh banchans. Not to mentioned, for their lunch set it came with KBBQ pork ribs which they freshly grilled for me as i am the first customer of the day. Ambience : Open-air, so might be slightly uncomfortable during normal summer day but fortunately it was cloudy when I went. Overall ok. But the round table height is a bit too low for me, quite uncomfortable if sitting for too long, have to hunch.
Service : there is male server with annoyed and unfriendly face, didnt reply anything upon confirm order simply walked away without any say. maybe because I am the first customer and they have yet to be fully-ready for opening, but hey. It is not yet middle of the week, and almost 12pm already try to put up friendlier face and better service ok?

The staff attitude is not very friendly when we ask them to refill the food , because we have a group of 10 hence the food finished very fast, the staff showed super unhappy face when we asked them to refill then we are okay maybe they are under staff
The pancake behind is all burnt out as in the photo which we dare not to eat it
But one thing which we are definitely not accepting it , the staff took other table left over vegetables and put it back into 1 bowl and serve it to our table. This is really unacceptable , how can you reuse people left over food and serve your another table of customer , is it how you serve other customer as well until I notice it with our own eye
