I revisited Dodo Korea at Intermark Mall after many years, having first dined here about six years ago when the restaurant was relatively quiet with no queues. These days, it has become viral, and the queue is massive — but I still decided to wait and try it again. Unfortunately, the food quality was not as satisfying as before. The kimchi soup was overly salty, the fried chicken leaned too much on the sweet side, and the fried fish cutlet turned out soggy. Overall, it was a rather disappointing experience, especially considering that I’ve had the same dishes with much better taste at other Korean eateries recently. Price-wise, the set meals are around RM19, which is reasonable. It might be worth a one-time visit for the experience, but for consistent flavor and quality, I would consider exploring other options. Perhaps I’ll give it another try in the future to see if things improve.

During my recent visit to Dodo Korea, I tried their bento set, priced at RM19. The bento comes with an array of components: rice, fried fish fillet topped with mayonnaise, mashed potato, fish cake, kimchi, kimchi soup, and a slice of watermelon. You also get to choose two proteins; I opted for the garlic and soy sauce fried chicken and chicken meatballs with tomato sauce. Unfortunately, the fried chicken was very dry, and the skin was hard. The chicken meatballs were also disappointing. They had a floury texture, indicating that too much flour was likely added during their preparation. In summary, while it’s a decent meal for the price, with a good variety of items, the quality of the proteins and some of the sides need improvement.

I've been patronizing this food outlet for years, and decided to write about 'em. If you like Korean food, I think you won't be disappointed. Yes, some of the food element or taste might have been 'localized' to accommodate the local's pallet, but I think the originality is still there. Portion is generous, and based on current inflation, I think the foods are appropriately priced. Always, opting for spicy chicken always delivers, however bear in mind that choosing between the conventional chicken and squid will definitely impact "how much meat you're getting" due to they're sold at the same price (but do not cost the same).

Best RM 17 ive spent in a long while. Get the lunch set. You can choose 2 proteins.

Everything is nice. Made other places look pathetic.

I tried 4 proteins-

Beef bulgogi - 4/5 Spicy fried chiken 4/5 Garlic chicken 4/5 Squid 3/5. Taste like squid in a Tteok bokki sauce. Thats it.

The portion is very generous or just enough. For average size adult. 5/5

The glass noodle side dish is good too. 4/5.

The fried fish cake in scramble egg mayo sauce is good as well. 3.6/5

The watermelon is just hmmm. 2/5. You can skip this and still the whole meal is 5/5. Oh well

The staff is ok. I have no issue with her. I see a Korean lady at the cashier, is she the chef/owner? (Well im digressing). Nvm. Cheers.

Overall...
