This place is only a Michelin Bib Gourmand which represents for affordable good eats. This means they are not Michelin stars restaurants which ranges from lowest 1 Star to highest 3 Stars. They are basically a seafood restaurant which the original 1st branch is in Cheras which is a normal shop but now the new branches are evolving into middle tier spendings restaurants. They have seafood (crab, clams, fish, squid, shrimp, etc) that you can have it with Noodles/Porridges/Rice or as ala carte, snacks/side dishes as well as some fancy drinks.
Service: 4.5🌟 Service is really good and well organized. You need to take number if there are no seats and the number are not in ascending orders (random). While waiting in line, there will be waiters that will hand you a big menu for you to look at and do pre-ordering which is a good method to lock down customers. If you are not willing/don't have a lot time to wait, I suggest you check how many groups of people is ahead of you and get estimated waiting time. Some people may get annoyed by this but they do clear the table as soon as they saw you stop eating/sort of finished your food but it is helping to reduce the waiting time for those in line.
Atmosphere: 4.25🌟 Place is air conditioned and they have some long seats that is quite comfy. This place is packed with people so avoid weekends peak hours if you want to avoid the crowd. The place is quite noisy especially if your table is near where the crowd are.
Food: Leopard Coral Grouper 3.25🌟 Having it with Kuey Teow Soup, it comes with seaweeds. The meat is fresh and smooth. Priced at Rm 21.90, not cheap
Food: Grouper 3.25🌟 Having it with Kuey Teow Soup, it comes with seaweeds. The meat is fresh and smooth but its more chewy than Leopard Coral Grouper. Priced at Rm 18.90, not cheap
Food: Fish Head Noodle 3🌟 Having it with thick mihun and fish paste version. Overall its quite nice but its definately not the best Fish Head Noodle for sure. The noodle texture is just ok. The meat is fresh but not a lot of pieces (about 5). The broth just okay, not too milky and has some flavour. Priced at Rm 17.90 which is quite expensive for the amount of ingredients
Food: Cockles/Clams 3.25🌟 Not overcooked, very big and taste fresh. I think they could improve the serving speed of such items as the blood are dark red already when its served so improve this dish better. There's about 15 clams. Priced at Rm 11.90, not cheap
Food: Fried Prawn Fish Paste Slice 3.25🌟 Taste is quite good but only has about 7 slices. Priced at Rm 20.90, expensive
Food: Fried Fishcake 3🌟 Not bad but nothing too special. Priced at Rm 8.90 for 1 piece, not cheap
Food: Curry Fishball 2.5🌟 Better than pasar malam ones by a bit but only has 8 medium size fried fish balls. Priced at Rm 11.90, not cheap
Drinks: Kopi (Ice) 3🌟 Just normal. Priced at Rm 4.90
Drinks: HKL Initiated Sea Bird Nest 2.5🌟 Taste like yam with jelly sort of drinks. Priced at Rm 9.90, not cheap
Drinks: Chrysanthemum (Cold) 3🌟 Not very strong...
Read moreWe’ve been to the Seapark PJ and Yulek Cheras branches, but we always find ourselves returning to the Sri Petaling branch. In our opinion, this branch stands out the most, especially in terms of food quality and dining atmosphere.
One of the things we truly appreciate about this restaurant is the personal interaction when ordering food and drinks, rather than using a QR code—it makes the dining experience feel more engaging and enjoyable. As regular customers, we always receive a warm welcome from the friendly staff, which adds to the overall experience. Their service is also very efficient, from taking orders to food delivery, making every visit smooth and pleasant.
The food here never disappoints. My spouse’s go-to dish is the grouper fish with ho fun, while my personal favorite is another type of grouper served with Guangxi rice noodles. I always make sure to add fish cakes and fried beancurd skin—they’re a must for me! The fish is incredibly fresh, and if you’re concerned about any fishy taste, you can request for it to be cooked a little longer for a cleaner flavor.
I absolutely love their milky broth—I just can’t get enough of it! It pairs perfectly with fresh cilantro, adding a fragrant touch to the dish. My spouse, on the other hand, prefers their clear broth, which is just as flavorful in its own way.
As usual, we never leave without taking away at least two servings of fish noodles—it’s a must for us! Another thing my spouse really enjoys is their cuttlefish slices snack, available at the cashier counter. The flavor is rich, the texture is fresh, and the price is quite reasonable compared to other places. It’s a great little treat to bring home.
We also tried their Kopi O ice, and it was really good! It has that strong, classic Kopitiam flavor, which we thoroughly enjoyed. Additionally, we ordered the cendol. The taste was just average, but we understand that desserts aren’t their main selling point, so it’s acceptable.
While we prefer sitting outdoors, we’ve noticed a strong fishy smell in that area. We understand that the restaurant owner wants to showcase the freshness of their fish and seafood live stock, but because of the odor, we usually opt for indoor seating instead.
On top of that, we truly appreciate how well-maintained the restaurant is. The cleanliness of both the dining area and the toilets is impressive, making our visits even more comfortable.
One downside, however, is the parking situation—it’s truly a challenge to find a spot here. You’ll need a lot of patience to drive around and look for one.
That said, we’ve been quite fortunate when dining in. We’ve never experienced a crowd or had to queue for a table. We usually visit after lunch hours, around 3 to 4 PM, which seems to be the perfect time for a more relaxed dining experience.
This restaurant has truly become one of our favorites for fish noodles, and we’ll definitely keep...

The food was so bad. Ordered one bowl of grouper milk soup noodles, noodles was like 3/4 of the bowl and accompanying that much amount of noodle was only 4-5 small pieces of fish. Don’t get me started on the tasteless soup that taste nothing like it was supposed to! Very obvious they charged so expensive but the quality and flavour isn’t there!
We also ordered another bowl of red snapper curry plus rice, and what came to the table was so much more worse. It was only soup and 5-6 pieces of small fish slices, nothing else in that bowl, no vegetables or tofu pok, nothing!
Service was so bad! Asked for some extra fried onions, and the workers don’t even understand the language hence have to run and get another waitress to listen to what I'm asking for, please train them properly!
Waiters and waitresses can’t seem to walk properly???? They keep hitting/walking into my chair, there is a big space behind me but they just have to walk/kick into my chair while passing behind me, not to mentioned they didn’t even find the need to apologise or anything, RUDE! Have some manners pls for godsake.
Most of the online “good reviews” are actually just part of their marketing strategy. Mainly are bought and taught to say good things. Very overpriced. Food really isn’t that good, tbh it was very terrible. I believe for Malaysian’s, our taste buds are very rich, hence for many to say the food is good/tasty really is just doing it for the money. In conclusion, totally not worth it at all. Very unpleasant experience. Please stop the false advertising and stop condemning...
