H1 混合海鲜粉 Mixed Seafood Noodle (Mi Xian, Clear Soup) = RM28.90

Service Charge 10% = RM2.89 Service Tax 6% = RM1.73

This is a Michelin Rated Eatery located in a Row of Shophouses in Taman Cheras and is Very Popular even on a Monday Lunch Hour. No issues with the Customer Service as I observed.  All the Staffs here were obviously very busy running about the place, but they are able to still maintain a Polite and Relatively Friendly Service Attitude, especially for the Staff who attended to me with a Smile. Impressive.

H1 混合海鲜粉 Mixed Seafood Noodle (Mi Xian, Clear Soup) = RM28.90

Due to Text Limit Constraints, I won't go into details describing every Ingredient here. If you are interested to know more, come visit my Facebook Food Blog: "A Solo Singaporean's Guide to JB Foods (And More!)" to view the Full Review with Photos.

Conclusion and Closing Thoughts

At the Price of RM28.90 (S$8.90) is not cheap for this Bowl of Seafood Soup  but make no mistake, this is not your Typical Simple Kopitiam Level of Seafood Soup 海鲜汤.  What you are getting is a High End Level of 海鲜汤.

I personally feel the 2 Main Factors why this is Good is because of their Soup Broth  and how Fresh all the Ingredients tasted.

This Soup Broth 吃得出来 has Effort being put into it.  Cooking of Seafood Soup is actually not as easy as just dumping everything and let it boil  because if even a Single Seafood is Not Fresh, the Whole Broth can easily be Destroyed.  You also need to factor in the Correct Mix to be able to get a Broth that is Not Too Overly Seafoody if it makes sense.

This also brings me to the other Main Point and the Word I would use for this place is 一句话: Fresh.  Every Piece of Seafood tasted Fresh and Clean.  Freshness is especially important for Seafood because even abit of Staleness can be detected easily.  Not at all here. In fact as I chatted with their Friendly Staffs after my Meal. They informed that all their Seafoods are supplied Fresh Daily from Sabah.  Nice.

Culinary Wise, there is also Alot of Effort I could see in the Processing of their Ingredients especially their Prawns.  To be able to cut and process until like this especially how they Trim the Head Barbs and Feelers  is unlikely to be Automated and Really 很多功  because remember they are running a Business so they need to daily process at least a Few Hundreds of them by Hand from the way they process this.

All this Quality and Massive 手工 Effort combined for S$8.90, I feel is More than Fair for the Asking Price.

This Taman Cheras HQ 總行 deserves its Michelin for the Quality that I've observed.  And its not only the Food Quality, the Whole Dining Experience felt Welcoming  and its their Friendly Staff Service that brings this Over the Top for me in giving them my Highest Top Score.  I enjoyed my time here.

If you would like to come here to their Original KL Taman Cheras Branch however, I highly recommend you visit this Place on a Weekday because if its already so 爆满 during a Monday,  I cannot even imagine how insane crowded or how long the Queue will be on a Weekend.

Newfound favourite fish head noodle place... If it wasn't that far! 😑

For me to travel that far for a bowl of fish head noodle, it meant something. A relatively new seafood noodle was making wave on social media, and even my friends who had gone there had nothing but to heap praises on this restaurant located in Cheras (of all places 🥲)

One fine day (weekday not weekend.. because I didn't want to be distracted by the kids), I drove 20km++ from PJ all the way to savour the fish head noodle, just to see if it's worth the effort and to compare with my favourite B&Best.

Sure enough, the lunch crowd was strong as I arrived at the door step. Due to the limited parking spots, many actually double parked just to enjoy the food here. The sight of all the fresh seafood outside the restaurant made my tummy drumming right away.

◾Fish head noodle - it took the first slurp to make my eyes twinkling with delight. It was very flavourful and the beautiful aroma from the Chinese wine used was evident and prominent. Contrary to what I'd read, the fried fish head chunks (served separately) were quite fresh and tasty - lucky me! But the star of the show was definitely the liquid - even the missus hijacked my soup. ◾Estuary grouper soup - she asked for something with collagen, and naturally they recommend fresh estuary grouper head. Sans the noodle.. the soup came in clear type brimming with the sweetness from the seafood. But the thunder had been stolen by the fish head noodle soup by then. ◾Fish lips - another collagen-rich part from the fish that we ordered. Limited items. ◾Cockles - good grief that the mollusks were blanched at the right doneness. When I spotted the bivalve mollusks outside the restaurant, I couldn't resist ordering it. Dip into the greenish this style chilly sauce and good to go. ◾Octopus in Korean style kimchi sauce - imported octopus and I've got to say that the sauce complemented the seafood perfectly. One of the better tasting kimchi sauce I've tried so far. ◾Surprise!! Their Kopi Si was packed with flavour when I least expect it to be. It brought the smile at my face with each & every sip that I took. I could come here just for the Kopi alone!

Definitely worth the 30 minutes drive all the way to Cheras this time. The sheer taste of the fish head noodle made it worthwhile. Before I forgot to mention, their chilly sauce is also very good......

My lunch visit to Hai Kah Lang Seafood Noodle transformed an ordinary day into an unforgettable culinary adventure. This establishment is a haven for those who cherish the ocean's bounty, particularly its oysters, which are without a doubt the highlight of the menu. Each oyster brought the essence of the sea to my palate, delivering a flavor so rich and vibrant, it was like embarking on a journey through the ocean with every bite.

The magic of this place isn't confined to its exceptional seafood alone. The speed of service is truly remarkable. Imagine my surprise when, merely 3-5 minutes after placing my order, a feast that seemed conjured from thin air was before me. This blend of culinary excellence and rapid service ensures that even the briefest lunch breaks can become an opportunity for an extraordinary meal.

But perhaps the most surprising element of Hai Kah Lang Seafood Noodle is its pricing. Despite the high-quality fare, the costs are astonishingly reasonable, debunking the myth that fine dining must be accompanied by a hefty price tag. This restaurant strikes a perfect balance, offering an upscale dining experience that's accessible to all.

In sum, Hai Kah Lang Seafood Noodle is not merely a place to eat; it's a destination that transforms lunchtime into a gastronomic celebration. Whether you're a seasoned seafood aficionado or simply in search of a meal that will brighten your day, this restaurant promises to exceed your expectations. With its combination of fresh, flavorful seafood, lightning-fast service, and friendly prices, it sets a new standard for dining excellence. If you're ready for a lunch experience that will leave you eagerly anticipating your next visit, Hai Kah Lang Seafood Noodle is the place to be. Prepare to...
