We have the pleasure of dining at Ping Hwa Kopitiam, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. We were already a fan since they were at the old premise behind Speedmart. I was very disappointed when the current owners weren't there I thought I'll never have the same roti Abu again. Tada! They reopen at a higher level!

This new shop, the ambiance was inviting and cozy, with tasteful decor that created a warm, relaxed atmosphere. Most importantly, their toilet isn't 'geli' as in a typical stall kopitiam that you visit. Toilet is passable! Feels like HK Cha Chan Teng at certain angles. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring we felt welcome and well taken care of throughout the meal.

They offered typical selection of local variety stalls, most are outstanding. My spot on is the roti Abu kaya and nescafe kaw kurang manis (super fragrant with just the right kick!). Their kaya is on another level. We bought some back home! In fact, the roti Abu kaya was what made me immediately fell in love with this place. My all time favourite!

What really stood out was the attention to detail in both the food and service. There is popo there and each time we went with our baby, she would remind my husband to hold our baby's back when carrying him 😁❤️ feels so warm 💖. The prices were reasonable for the quality of the food, making it great value for a decent dining experience.

Each time we left feeling thoroughly satisfied and excited to return. Oh, and they are soon launching evening treats desert and western food! Can't wait to try it out! This place is definitely worth a visit!

Normally jammed pack during weekends and public holidays (obvious reasons!) may want to come during weekdays or do go earlier or later to avoid queueduring peak hours. Can...

Don’t usually have breakfast after stepping into corporate life. It was Saturday morning, an off day, waking up early at 5am to an empty stomach. So decided to search for a good kopitiam that was open or opening soon at that time to get my cravings fixed. Stumbled upon Ping Hua Kopitiam and decided to give it a try after reading lots of good reviews.

Easy to get a table as it was very early in the morning, but by the time I was leaving the kopitiam, all the tables were fully occupied. I ordered a lot of food for my small body as I was eager to try some of the food there and that I was very hungry :P

Pan mee:- Ordered a large pan mee (hand-torn) and the texture was so good. It tasted so good that it brings back nostalgia. Definitely have to try this if you’re a pan mee enthusiast.

Fried fish cake:- Ordered it as a snack, side dish or whatever you like to call. Fried to perfection, delicious.

Hainan kaya-butter bread & half-boiled eggs:- This combo is a must-have for breakfast. Definitely no exception here.

Fish ball soup:- Freebies, courtesy of the owner. The fish balls were firm and springy. Thumbs up.

They have many other foods, drinks and desserts for you to try. Too bad I couldn’t taste all the foods there. Definitely will come back...

The kopitiam that SMILES ☺️ Really high food quality (taste & portion) for a fair price, located in Yulek. Also, it's air-conditioned 😉

✅ Mala dry noodles 10/10 ✅ Char kuey teow 9/10 ✅ Penang popiah 10/10 - best popiah in the area ✅ Penang ABC ice kacang 7/10 - not too sweet which is great for some of y'all but I like my desserts on the sweeter side / 'kao' 🤣 ✅ Fried carrot cake 6/10 - taste is good, portion is large, however, the size of each cube can be smaller for easy mastication & to avoid feeling 'jelak' ✅ Chee Cheong Fun 11/10 🎉🎉 ✅ Hokkien Loh Mee 8/10 - if you don't know whether to order Hokkien mee or loh mee, this is it 🤣 feels like 75% Hokkien mee, 25% loh mee - my 2 cents 😉 ✅ Nasi lemak 8/10 - had some fried chicken with it and some curry over the nasi 😋 ✅ Pan Mee 7/10 ✅ Seaweed roll 4/10 👎 - I think this is the only disappointment here, probably influenced by my high expectations because of how everything else has bee pretty great so far

The only thing to take note of is that even though the opening hours are till 3pm. ALL vendors will start closing at ~2.20pm - meaning no more orders at 2.30pm - so DO plan your trip! Food's great & service is fantastic!

A well...

We ordered a variety of dishes, including wanton noodle, dry curry noodle, Gan Lao fish ball noodle, poh piah, chee cheong fun, and char kway teow. The wanton noodle was a hit with all of us. The noodles were smooth with a springy bite, and the sauce was well seasoned. I loved it, though I found their curry less impressive. The fish balls seemed handmade, with a distinct taste of fresh fish. The soup was rich and full of flavor, clearly enhanced by plenty of ikan bilis. The noodles here had more chew compared to the wanton noodles, which was expected and very well executed. The char kway teow was also excellent, with a balanced amount of dark sauce and a good touch of wok hei. As for the poh piah, the radish filling leaned towards the sweeter side. I enjoyed it, though my parents did not. Unfortunately, I did not take a single picture of their food.

Nice and comfortable place with air-conditioning and a variety of good food. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food and drinks. What’s more important, is the clean environment and friendly staff. We had a very memorable experience and particular enjoyed the Teo Chew Fish Ball Noodles (both soup and dry versions). Featuring natural flavours with self-made ingredients for the fish ball, fish cakes etc, coupled with friendly and jovial stall proprietors left a lasting experience. The Prawn & Char Siew Chee Cheong Fun also caught our eye and was excellent too. We wanted to try other things but we arrived nearly around the closing time for the morning shift and missed the ordering slot. The Char Koay Teow looked tempting as well as the Sweet Desserts - we’ll save that for next time.

The only kopitiam in this area where you will be greeted and seated with a smile. Have not tried all the food, but thus far it is average ok, will update after several visit. The seating outside aircond area is hot due to hot air blown from all the cookings at the stall, if you don't mind the atmosphere, there will always be empty seat at this section. Update: The pao really need improvement or at least quality control.. Chicken rice is not bad, the rest are average, but you can find some specialty food here that other kopitiam in the area does not offer.
