We went to Jia Kopitiam in a group of three. We were so impressed by several things at this super homely restaurant:
The service at the entrance - two smiley faces staff (one of them could be the boss?) were so warm, courteous and welcoming!
The foods and beverages:
Authentic Hainanese kaya butter, half boiled eggs, hot Hainan Teh (for me)
Kampung fried Vitz noodles with curry, hot Hainan Kopi C (for my closed one)
Chee Cheong Fun Curry, with add-on fried fish ball, fish cake, hot Hainan Teh (for my Aunty)
I was so impressed by them and decided to order more - Chee Cheong Fun with separate red sauce, curry, and add-on fish cake!
A supervisor (female boss?) was so nice and gave us three glasses of warm Chinese tea for free! Thank you so much!
The service staff are multi-cultural. They are friendly and paid attention to finite details, for example placing the cutlery carefully such as electrical pepper grinder.
The clientele also multi-cultural. The atmosphere is nice and cordial.
Finally, not the least, we were shocked by how affordable the whole bill is. We felt so touched by the kindness of the bosses who priced it to cater for the student clientele. Such kind souls! God blessed! All the best to the company and staff.

Read moreFirst time I ordered via food delivery. This time, try for the actual fresh from the oven.
Food: Once we already get our sit and the menu in front of us, starting to order like no any other day would come. Why? Because we weren't sure if gonna have time to repeat here again. As a food lover, i and the rest of the team must try what we love. I can't remember any of the food names, but basically, as I know, they dishes like similar with other places sold. Everything was good. Nothing less. We ordered Mee Udang, Curry chicken, chicken butter croissant, roti bakar butter, maggi kicap, i guess. Overall, i prefer all of the toast menu because that is the best starter of the day. The rest of the heavy dishes, moderate for us
Beverage: Of course, Kampung drinks la as usual. Teh Tarik, Milo Ais, Kopi O. When it comes to drinks, it is best with toast and half boiled eggs. Oh yeah, you guys should try Chicken Rice here. It's delicious!
How about Price? Affordable. And you have so many menu choices from breakfast to lunch as well. The venue is just near the uptown Danau Kota. The shop is muslim...

The café appears to be pork free, and I noticed it welcomes Muslim customers as well. The food is not bad, and while it may not stand out, the excellent service made the dining experience enjoyable. Jia Kopitiam is a decent choice for a casual meal or snack, offering a mix of traditional and modern...
