In Malaysia the context of pork free is to say that even though an eatery has not received its halal certification by JAKIM but it is still consumable by Muslims without doubt which means it is free of pork and alcohol, the two things that’re impermissible for Muslims. Hokkaido restaurant in Titiwangsa is a good example , though it does not have halal certification due to the reason it serves alcoholic drinks, the food is not only pork free but alcohol free too. When a restaurant claims that it is pork free it is automatically deemed to be halal to be consumed by Muslim albeit it not explicitly stating that it is also alcohol free because that goes without saying that Muslims do not consume alcohol too. Hence when a restaurant claims that it is pork free and yet it mixes alcohol in its food, that is a deceitful matter that is quite serious. This restaurant did just that. It was deceiving because most of their restaurants might be pork free or lard free but their sauces contain alcohol. Luckily I realized the sauce contained alcohol so I opted not to eat there. Although the restaurant claims to be pork free but due to the lack of separation of the silverware and some sauce and food is marinated with alcohol this place is not suitable for Muslims. When I requested a refund because I felt cheated, the manager was downright rude and blamed me for not asking in the first place. Now this is the point that I have mentioned on being deceived. A restaurant that claims to be pork free is also perceived to be alcohol free in its food content. Is there a need for a customer to ask the server whether the food is alcohol free too? When I said that I will lodge an official complaint regarding the restaurant the manager very boldly told me that I can do whatever I want which just portrays the lack of liability and professionalism that they have towards their customers. I ended leaving the place feeling cheated and deceived. Totally disappointing experience there. Not recommended and as for Muslims kindly take note that despite it says that it is pork free, the food does still...
Read moreWill not go back again. Portion is terribly small for the price of RM 19.82 inclusive GST n service charge. My friend and I ordered one maccha tiramisu to share. However only one spoon was provided instead of two. Naturally, we requested for one more spoon. Much to our surprise, the spoon he gave was a blue plastic spoon which looked like it has been used for a long time because of the scratches left on it. We felt weird but decided to get over it. It was when we finished the tiramisu only we realized that not only the case holding the tiramisu was different from other customers, but the spoons we were using were different too. Supposedly, the case and the spoon should be of wood material, but our spoons were steel n plastic, n the casing is black n made of plastic. It's impossible that they don't have enough wooden spoons that day because there were only few customers. Restaurants that apply double standard don't deserved...
Read moreI went to this particular shop (Shinanoji) last year as one time experience thing. I have to say I'm disappointed, to conclude it in a sentence, the food and staffs service is not worth anymore.
Homemade soba noodles but the quality of it drop so much compare to my last year trip. Last year I had a delicious plate of cold soba but now I can’t even have any words to describe about the food. Soba texture is so terrible. Not chewy as it supposed to. Not cold enough. Chicken taste awful, not fresh, dry. Not crispy as it used to.
I came all the way from Sri Lankan to have this noodle as I enjoyed my last trip but this time it was a total let down. Staffs could not even talk and understand simple English. Then why work if you can’t communicate ? Where is the old staffs ? Those old staffs are the magicians for this shop! Now it’s an unpleasant restaurant to dine in. I’ll never ever come to this store anymore! Wasted my...
