I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Royal Kuala Lumpur and overall, it was a delightful experience. From its reasonable price to its convenient location near Lot 10 and within walking distance to Bukit Bintang attractions, this hotel provided a comfortable and enjoyable stay. One of the standout aspects of my stay was the hotel's reasonable pricing. Considering its prime location in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, I found the rates to be quite affordable compared to other hotels in the area. This allowed me to enjoy the city without breaking the bank. The proximity to Lot 10 was a major advantage of staying at Hotel Royal Kuala Lumpur. It was just a stone's throw away, making it incredibly convenient for shopping and dining. I appreciated being able to explore the vibrant shopping scene of Bukit Bintang without having to travel far.Additionally, the hotel's location offered easy access to other popular attractions in Bukit Bintang. From Jalan Alor's tantalizing food stalls to the vibrant nightlife and entertainment options, everything was within walking distance. It made exploring the area a breeze and saved me time and transportation costs. The hotel staff truly stood out with their exceptional service. Throughout my stay, I encountered helpful and friendly staff members who were always ready to assist. They were knowledgeable about the local area and provided valuable recommendations, ensuring that I made the most of my visit to Kuala Lumpur. Their warm hospitality contributed significantly to the overall positive experience. However, I must mention one small drawback during my stay. There was a slight odor emanating from one of the pillows in my room. While it didn't significantly impact my overall enjoyment, it was a minor inconvenience that could have been improved upon. Nonetheless, this did not detract from the overall comfort and cleanliness of the room.In conclusion, my stay at Hotel Royal Kuala Lumpur was an enjoyable and memorable experience. The reasonable pricing, proximity to Lot 10, walking distance to Bukit Bintang attractions, and the exceptional service provided by the friendly staff made my visit truly delightful. With just a minor issue with the pillow smell, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable stay in the heart of...

1 day stay from 11 to 12 Jun 2022. The man reception was very rude when I asked about the difference between 2 join twin size beds and a king size bed. All the while he looked down, not smiling and no eye contact. I felt that I was like taking to the air. He gave us a non sound proof room 805 (I guessed he was purposely). The indian lady beside him looked fierce too (zero contact). When we went to our room, we can hear people laughing and talking very loud next door as it was a joint room. There was a door divided both rooms. Because of that, we have to lower our voices too. Poor house keeping as there were no bath towels and the left shower door was jammed. There was a sheltered 1.2 m dark swimming pool and the water was freezing. Nobody swam there (kind of haunted). My son has caught a flu because of that. The whole floor has no light and not a single soul except 3 of us). The next morning, my son was down with fever and my hubby asked me to eat breakfast at the restaurant floor M and pack for them after I ate. First thing when I reached the restaurant, I asked a Filipino man (either waiter or manager) if I could take away breakfast and eat in the hotel room, he told me cannot as the food will be contaminated if I take away. What's his logic? I really don't understand, then what happen to food panda or grab delivery? I was left with a shock because I thought of my hubby and my sick son has no food. We have paid for the breakfast!! What kind of hotel service was that? Ended up we did not eat our paid breakfast and my hubby went out to pack McDonald's breakfast. Your staff should practise flexibility. Oh yes, one of the bath towel has stool on it (it was contaminated). Luckily I brought own towels. I was not sure whether was non sound proof or haunted, I heard a lady singing when near my hotel room's toilet at around 2.30 am in the morning when I went toilet. Only compliment is the malay uncle who took care of our bags after we checked out. He was smiling all the way, very approachable and left us a good impression. Very disappointed experience of choosing Hotel Royal. Will not come...

Hotel Royal Kuala Lumpur was the venue that I had to go through the mandatory quarantine period for 2 weeks right after I came back from Europe. I didn’t know that I will get to stay here. Nevertheless the overall 2 weeks stay was very good. The basics were provided in the room, had a room at level 16 and the view was facing KL Tower.

The internet connection was excellent during the first week but the second week was really bad, I had to work so at certain point had to switch to my own smartphone data plan personal hotspot though the signal was very week and intermittently disconnected - 1 or 2 bars only. I had to literally put the smartphone near the glass window 😂 but it didn’t work well. I was unhappy.

I am an environmentalist so I divided all plastics, papers and organics separately. Everyday I received meals in plastic containers so I washed them after, for every single container.

For those who want to warm your food.

Boil some water Ensure the food container is securely closed/ sealed Pour the boiled hot water inside the white plastic bag (1/2 or 3/4 level of the food container to avoid the water overflows) Seal tightly the white plastic bag to allow the hot air to circulate Put the white plastic bag in the bathroom sink to stabilize the water movement Wait for 15-20 minutes for the food to be warmed The food should be warmed enough to eat (not as warm as we put in a microwave though)

I hope this alternative helps, it works well for me and my meal was never cold whenever I wanted to eat 😊

In a nutshell, the overall stay for 2 weeks was comfortable, cozy and sufficient - merely average. Below shows all the list of necessities being provided in the room I stayed:-

Linens Face tissues and toilet rolls Drinking water Coffee, tea, creamer, sweetener sachets Dishwashing liquid Laundry detergent Fork and spoon Cups Water glasses Basic amenity kits Minibar Electronic kettle Plastic bags for garbages

Enjoy the photos! 😂

Initially I was contemplating to stay at this hotel because I have seen the exterior is very old and run down. I decided to gamble and give it a try. Manage to catch a good deal from Agoda and its a NO regret! I extended my stay and I am soooo in love with this hotel even though the interior is simple but what matter most is the cleanliness. The cleanliness is superb!!! The housekeeping really ensure the cleanliness and they make up the room too and refill the shampoo. The best part of staying here is the TV! It is samsung TV and they do have NETFLIX/Youtube/Apple TV. All you need is to sign in with your own account and remember to sign out. Staff is polite though they can try to be more friendly but overall they are not rude. That is important. As for breakfast, is is quite decent. They have rice and mee, baked beans, sausage and Even have omelette, scramble egg, half boil egg.. porridge.. which to me is good enough. With the price, it is worth it. And they provide clean prayer mat too! I will definitely return to this hotel!

I arrived Kuala Lumpur from Dublin on the 28th July and was checking in into this Hotel for my 14 days quarantine. Overall the room was nice and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. I did tried their In Room Dining Menu Char Kway Teow and Spaghetti Marinara and it was OK nothing fancy... The advantage of having stayed here is, it surrounded by few shopping Mall and its all walking distance and with MONORIL of Bukit Bintang station just few minutes away. If you love night Market and window shopping this is the best and right place to stay and enjoy your night life. During my last day at this hotel I ordered their signature dish Nasi Goreng Kampung ( Kampong Fried Rice) well the taste was great..I must say that I love it.... Definitely I will come back again for that fried rice. . Thanks a million The Team of Hotel Royal for being great during my 14 days quarantine...
