FWF Hotpot — Restaurant in Kuala Lumpur

I recently had the pleasure of dining at an exceptional Chinese hotpot restaurant, and I cannot stop raving about the extraordinary experience! This establishment deserves nothing less than a glowing five-star review for its impeccable service, delectable array of ingredients, and inviting ambiance.

Had a very bad experience here since the moment I stepped into the restaurant. I called half an hour earlier to ask if I need to book a table for 2 pax or I can just walk in. The person on the phone just said don’t need to book just come as plenty of places here. I reached after 30 mins and was told to wait for 15-20 mins as they are full but there’s a table leaving.

After 45 mins of our dining, we were the last few tables in the restaurant. All of the tables were served a free dessert but not my table.. (maybe we were the last) I had to ask for the dessert drink and was served in a beer glass instead of their usual cool dessert glass. Moreover the dessert was just liquid instead of the usual sorbet.. when I asked why like this I was told the ice making machine is broken today but I could see everyone’s table was served the sorbet. I didn’t say anything anyway as I felt it was pointless to talk further.

Paid the bill after that and realized that it was raining quite heavily. I was with my 9 months pregnant wife and I asked a lady at the reception if they have umbrella. The lady did not say anything or give any expression, straight went into the store.. I figured she might be taking out the umbrella to me. As she walked out I thought she would’ve brought 2 umbrellas so that I could send my wife to the car and she could then take the umbrella from me when I get into the car… Unfortunately it didn’t happen, I had to send my wife to the car and place back the umbrella at the store front (as the lady was gone by then) and go back to my car without any umbrella. I was soaking wet when I got in my car…

Definitely a very bad customer journey for me and I don’t think I will ever go back to this restaurant again.

Note: The food quality was 6/10 but the price is extremely high for the portion...

Dining experience is bad. Terribly bad. I know that this place had always been the hot spot for people to drop by for Mala hotpot / hard to rsvp. Countless time reminded by waiter that the dining period is set for 1hr 45mins. Arrived at 7.30pm+ Placed order in less than 10min as waiter is really quick in wanting us to decide on soup base/ sauce/ beverage. Yet, only pieces of lotus came after 10min and all the way till 8.30pm only our hotpot ingredients came. Worst was when me and my friend just about to start our fancy hotpot dinner after waiting for so long, waiter came again to remind us that our dining time left 40mins and to make last order ! This is really funny and ridiculous lol..

Worst was, it was Thursday night, it doesn’t seems that pack, kitchen is busy, a waiter drop some meatball on the floor and garnish flower, I witnessed him pick up and arrange back to the plate ! God bless the customer that ate it lmao ! I bet the waiter mindset was ‘since you gonna cook it, can kill the bacteria?’
