💭 While exploring the city after work on a Friday evening, discovered a really good Japanese restaurant. It helps to add an overall authentic ambience that there was a table of four Japanese salaryman seated next to us.
Atmosphere: Once seated inside, it reminds one of being inside a Japanese restaurant in Tokyo after work where regular customers often visit.
Service: Service was prompt and attentive.
Food: Ordered a house pour sake to pair with Yuri and Himawari set.
Essentially both sets are similar in that they have an appetizer, a salad, a main, a soup, a rice and a dessert.
The only difference between the sets are one was a stir fried beef and the other sashimi.
To start off a small bowl of smoked engawa and salad was appetizing. Followed by a bowl of avocado and medium rare beef cutlet salad.
The mains of sashimi and stir fried beef came later served with crab egg drop soup, seafood onden, garlic fried rice and sushi rice.
The sashimis of scallops, tuna and salmon was fresh and tasty. The stir fried beef was well seasoned. The crab egg drop soup was rich and silky and was complimented well by the seafood onden which was clean, and umami . The garlic fried rice was so good I had to finish the entire bowl and likewise the sushi rice.
Dessert was served last with a choice of ice cream (matcha or vanilla) or dango (red bean or soy bean). We went with both ice creams but the vanilla ice cream turned out to be our favorite.
Price: Paid around RM 114 plus per person...

The food is not fresh at all here! Don’t trust what they claim in social media! We ordered o a few item includes chirashi don, alaska crab leg, sashimi platter and other.
The sashimi platter(not in the photo) which include salmon sashimi and a few other types of fish and prawn. The salmon sashimi make me wanna puke. I ask the manager why the salmon sashimi taste so diff from the usual one he reply that all their “salmon sashimi” will be poach in hot water before serve to ensure there will be no parasite in the fish and he also claim that they serve “high quality salmon”. I am ok if the fish is fresh but it is not! I am thinking if it is high quality why there will be parasite in the first place?
We also order the grilled Alaska crab leg. This they serve cold dry and taste not fresh at all. I think they just grilled and put in the fridge. Once there is order come in they just heat it up. It taste exactly like left over food. I told the manager he just bring in the food to let the kitchen and let the chef to try. He didn’t get back to me after all. So I am too frustrated I just ask for the bill and left. (We pay the full amount) Didn’t bother to ask for discount!
The standard of the restaurant just exactly same as sushi train restaurant. I really cannot accept to have this kind of standard in a Japanese concept store in...

Uni came in greyish orange colour 😅 I expected it won’t be sweet but it is totally BITTER and no seafood taste. It’s so bitter I have to use green tea to let it run down my throat . I gave up on chewing it. Taste like STINK RUBBISH
King crab aburi . Also BITTER as hell. The outer skin was burnt that caused the bitter taste. No sweet taste of king crab. Fully bitter.
Salmon, Otoro & ebikko taste normal nothing impressive
Unagi don - unagi is COLD . I put my chopstick beside to show you how thin the ungai is . The egg and the rice ok . The price RM 45 is definitely not ok with this taste. U can also barely see any unagi sauce on the rice .
ORDERED IKIGAI BUT NO IKIGAI AND CHARGED ME ON MY BILL THEN THEY VOID THE SALES AND I REPAY AGAIN . The IKIGAI is the funny part . Already ordered for more than 20 mins then only they told u it’s not available and yet have the audacity to charge me 💀 luckily I checked again the bill and noticed it . No sorry from them too. Attitude is...
