Raahi Kitchen & Bar — Restaurant in Kuala Lumpur

My girlfriend knows the owner and my friend is a nephew to the owner's wife so we decided to give it a shot based on recommendations.

The parking is a bit of an issue for me and to people with cars that are a bit low to the ground/least amount of ground clearance and I was lucky to find a spot to park infront of the owner's car. Unfortunately, only 2 cars can be parked there.

However, that small issue was easily forgotten once you enter the establishment and are greeted by welcoming faces. The owner's son, the owner's wife (Jayanthi) and the servers were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Based on their recommendations, we started with their special cocktail "Gin Gimlet" and a fresh beer.

The Gin Gimlet came with a small portion of freshly heated and salted popcorn which paired extremely well with the drink! And for RM 38, it is very worth it as Roku gin was used to make this drink and the customer can easily taste the liquor. Rating - 5/5.

Next, we were recommended to try their famous chicken Momos and Bihari Lamb. The Momos tasted the ones in India and was not only juicy but extremely flavourful. The hot sauce that came with the Momos was spicy and just the right boost needed from an appetizer. The Bihari was smoky and grilled to perfection. It was spiced well and was my favourite tasting meal of the day! I have recommended these 2 dishes to family and friends and we will definitely be back for these 2 items. Rating - 5/5.

The Sizzling hot plate Spanish Mackerel (Tenggiri) fish with black pepper sauce and the Sizzling hot plate Chicken breast with cream sauce was to die for. It both came with a generous amount of sauteed vegetables, mash potato, basmati rice and meat! Great portion size and flavour (rich and creamy and well cooked). Rating - 5/5

The ambience is fantastic for intimate dates and also a perfect place to host parties with close friends. The quality of food and alcohol used was original and fresh;unlike many establishments we have come across.

I've had the pleasure of dining at this Raahi multiple times, and it never fails to impress! The service here is truly exceptional, with a staff that goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome. Now, let's talk about the food - their momos are an absolute delight, bursting with flavor and served with the perfect dipping sauce. The paneer burger is a vegetarian delight, and the grilled chicken burger is a carnivore's dream come true. The quality of these dishes is consistently top-notch these are just a few of my top favourites!

One of the standout features of this place is their in-house mixologist. They have a talent for crafting incredible drink suggestions that perfectly complement the meal. Whether you're a fan of classic cocktails or more adventurous concoctions, you won't be disappointed.

Having visited this restaurant 6-7 times already, I can confidently say that the food and service have never let me down. It's become a favourite spot of my husband’s and mine and I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a memorable...

Nice authentic Indian cuisine, location is in a housing area. Just let the guards know that you’re dining in Raahi, there are a few free parking spots in front of the restaurant.

Recommend the following dishes:

✨ Paani Puri (RM15) - deep fried flatbread filled with potato and a tangy water. pop in your mouth for an explosion of flavours. Great appetising start to our meal.

✨ Chicken Momos (RM15) - juicy steamed dumplings.

✨ Bihari Lamb (RM35) - chunks of lamb marinated with spices, yogurt etc and cooked in a tandoor.

✨ Lamb Dum Briyani (RM37)- fragrant and delicious with bone in lamb.

✨ Butter Chicken Masala (RM29) - favourite! ❤️ tender chunks of chicken in a creamy tomato and onion gravy.

✨ Lamb Masala (RM37) - lamb pieces in a spicy thick gravy with tomato paste, onions and spices.
