We were brought here by Daniel, as usual. He swore that this is amongst the best nasi kandar restaurant he had tried, and the positive reviews here seemed to corroborate with his statements..
But unfortunately, I beg to differ...and I had been here twice already. With my wife and Daniel on both occasions. The first time was for breakfast, and I ordered the Roti Sarang Burung set. Can you believe that they only offer ONE miserable fried egg in the dish? Everywhere else I went, the roti sarang burung would always be served with two set of fried eggs, over easy. Except for over here...So, go figure!!
The second time was for dinner, and I wanted to try their Mutton Masala. But it turned out to be mutton with "masalah", as they had almost finished everything, except for some gravy and bones. As I had already set my mind on trying that dish, I just asked the gentleman to put whatever they still have on my plate, with some rice. I also ordered two set of Telur Mata, just to be sure this time. Well, the two eggs were supposed to be fried together to ensure an even fry, but they fried each one separately, one after the other, for reasons only beknown to them.

Read moreI think the pictures are all for starting point and hype. It does attracted me to come but when I arrived, it's almost dead on a weekend lunch time.
Staff is friendly and environment is alright.
The only problem they have here are 3 things and could still fix it to save the place.
the hygiene, this is most important for any food stalls. It's a huge put off when you see the flies landed on the food and there's nothing to prevent these pest that could caus you diarrhea and the drains are just outside. Imagine what did the flies land on before it lands on the food.
food is all cold and portion is not much. Again, bacteria will slowly increase if the food is not kept at optimal temperature.
The price. They have a thing called "set" and I was curious about it. To realized it's just a fried drumstick, two pieces of lady fingers, half a salted egg and rice. (And other things are called ala carte?)
This is weird because a set at least have a free drink for today's standard.
Anyhow, I might not coming here again and I think this is also why it's so empty on a weekend's lunch time. (The competition at TTDI for this place is high because there are so many better comparison around.)
Good luck to...
