Bad:

  1. Wait staff - Untrained wait staff, unable to describe wine and food. Some couldnt speak English, I said no 'cheese' on pasta 3 times and she said no Chips. One of the staff was dressed messy, untucked/unironed shirt and messy hair. We asked questions about the house pouring wine , and they have to go back and forth with two wait staff and finally the manager to explain before we could order. Plates and cutleries taken away by wait staff without asking, is quite annoying. We wanted to use the cutleries but they didnt ask us before taking it away.
  2. Kitchen staff: Occasionally unmasked(cooks) and the last person handling the food at the counter is not wearing a hat & mask. However, the wait staff is full-on mask. Seems like they focus on having a good presentation at the front and assume customers dont see what is happening at the back. Its a proper restaurant and we expect more, especially wearing a hat when managing food
  3. Food: Vongele (Clams was sandy for several shells) was sent back and excluded from bill, scallops in pasta felt like supermarket frozen food (i could be wrong, but was not pleasant otherwise. Unpitted olives on pizza. Complementary bread was cold and not fresh(Focacia was brittle). Seems like it was out for a long time.
  4. Some things could be improved for the environment (Soft furnishings as it was noisy), music could be better for italian dinner setting instead of pop music.

Good:

  1. Decent pizza (Not up to the price point but just eatable and apetizer was good)
  2. Food is good to look at, but taste wise is just 'meh'
  3. Manager tried to help matters but overwhelmed by untrained wait staff

We were celebrating our anniversary here and were having high expectations of a proper wine and dine restaurant. I'm sorry for being picky, but if you are thinking of having a proper setting restaurant, this place is not 'it' . Just felt we chose the wrong...

Osteria Emilia at 163 Retail Park Mont Kiara: A Culinary Delight. Rating: ★★★★★

Nestled in the bustling 163 Retail Park Mont Kiara, Osteria Emilia is a haven for Italian cuisine enthusiasts. Our visit to this delightful eatery left us captivated by the freshness and authenticity of its offerings. The pasta, cooked to perfection, boasted the ideal al dente texture, leaving us craving for more.

The star of the show, the pizza, was a testament to the artistry of the chefs, as we marveled at the skillful preparation of each pie in the blazing hot brick oven. Witnessing the dancing flames within added an element of spectacle that elevated our dining experience.

The use of fresh ingredients, coupled with the traditional sourdough and delectable mozzarella, created a symphony of flavors that tantalized our taste buds. Despite the bustling atmosphere, the attentive staff ensured that our wait time was minimal, making our dining experience all the more enjoyable.

Osteria Emilia is a must-visit for those seeking an authentic taste of Italy in the heart of Mont Kiara. With its freshly made pasta, tantalizing pizzas, and attentive service, it has rightfully earned its place as a go-to destination for Italian cuisine enthusiasts in the area.

Had dinner with the whole family. The food was quite good but there were some that could be better.

First started with the roasted tomato brushetta. The cheese taste on the brushetta is abit too much for us but still not bad.

The wild mushroom soup is quite creamy and the garlic bread that comes with it goes well together.

The pan seared Norwegian salmon is a little bit small portion wise but not a bad taste.

The porchetta pork roast was surprisingly good and the portion is quite big. It is a little bit on the saltier side.

The pappardelle Bolognese was quite OK according to my grandmother. She finished it before I could get a bite.

The best dish I would have to say was the Beef Ravioli. The sauce and the ravioli and it's filling, it's just on point.

Ofcourse the truffle pizza was also as good as the ravioli. The truffle with the mushroom was wonderfully done.

We also got the braised beef saffron rissoto. The taste of the rissoto felt underwhelming after trying the ravioli. The beef cheek was OK.

The linguini vongole was quite alright. The butter taste in the sauce was quite nice and goes well with the clamps.

For dessert, the tirsmisu is a must. Really really good but has quite a strong alcohol kick to it.

The pistachio icecream was abit overpowered by the cookie crumb taste.

TLDR; Beef ravioli and truffle pizza is good. Tirsmisu...
