Unfortunately did not have a good experience here. I understand we are humans and humans make mistakes but what's important in the FnB industry is what you do to correct your mistakes, I'm not expecting 5 star hotel kind of service but at least your customer leaves happy.
Arrived here slightly after 8:10pm, got a table quite fast. One staff took our order, I can see that all the staff including the boss were busy.
1 table who arrived after us got their order first. So we waited longer, not even our drinks were served (bare in mind it's just Chinese tea, not even milk tea) so I asked the boss to check on our order, for the next 10 mins there were no news from the boss like "oh the food and drinks are on their way" or maybe "sorry the order is not in our system, let me check on it for you". I called the staff that took our order to check on it and it looks like she forgot to key in the order into the system as she took out the order sheet from her pocket. Its already 8:40pm, the table next to us already finish eating.
8:45pm our drinks came and another staff came to us ask us to reconfirm our order on the receipt but it was a completely different order. So we had to tell them again what we ordered.
8:55pm the same staff came back to us to let us know one of the dishes we order ran out of stock. Ok nevermind, we order something else.
9:10pm the first dish finally came, fortunately that dish came out warm, it would be very very disappointing if it came out cold.
9:15pm 2 dishes came out around the same time, they were also warm.
9:20pm the last dish finally came out.
Total time spent here is about an hour, more than half of that time was spent frustrated waiting for our food.
You'd expect some kind of apology or some kind of compensation? Nope, nothing.
The taste of the food is honestly slightly above average. But solely because of the service we experienced here. Not coming back. Maybe we are just unlucky as I've seen many customer came and got their food fast. But you can...
Read moreMy parents under estimated this place because they don't have a signage & I told them not to judge a book by its cover. They told me they would come back again after our dinner. They don't have 1 million options, limited dishes but the ones that we ordered are commendable. 1st dish we ordered their signature seafood tomyum. If you wanted the exact same taste as other tomyum stores, then you will not have that feeling. This is very different & uniquely on its own. Next stop is the braised pork leg which is super tender which comes with several pairing side dishes like braised egg, vege and pickled vege too. I love the gravy especially you dip it with the pork and rice. If pork fats is your thing, then you should order this dish. From the look of it, it melts in your mouth. 3rd one is their pork chop but not just fried chicken. The topping seems to blow your mind when you bite into it together with the fried chicken. And the owner is very kind that they gave their famous Thai milk tea to us. Thank you so much. You may sit outside or inside. If it's outside, it will be a little too romantic as the lighting is not bright enough & if you love mosquitoes, it may flock towards you but we went off before they come. 😆 And forget about going to TH to buy their noodles or snacks or tomyum paste, you can get them here. They even have those famous old...
Read moreThe stall might not look like much at first glance, but it’s a hidden gem for anyone craving authentic Thai flavors. It’s a simple roadside spot, so don't expect luxury, but if you’re willing to overlook the basic surroundings, you’re in for a treat.
The highlight here is definitely the pork leg rice. The pork is tender, perfectly braised, and packed with rich, savory flavors that just melt in your mouth. Served with fragrant rice and a side of pickled vegetables, it’s a classic dish done right, just like you’d find on the streets of Bangkok. The portion sizes are generous, and everything tastes incredibly fresh and full of flavor.
Yes, the environment can be a bit rough around the edges, and there may be some traffic noise or minimal seating. However, the authentic taste and unbeatable price more than make up for it.
A small but thoughtful gesture I find it impressive was they provide insect repellant on each table for those who dislike mosquitoes.
Perfect for those who prioritize food quality over ambiance and want a true taste of Thailand. I’d definitely recommend stopping by if you're in the area.
Looking for a staff to help can be challenging as most staff are inside shop rather...
