Located at shoptlot in a low cost flat. It was a surprise find tho, thats why we gave it a try.
Ambience was ok, reno was minimal, kept most of the vintage furnitures (chairs, windows, tables etc). Didn’t feel warm prolly bcuz there’s just enough AC. Its a small and cozy restaurant. But tables and chairs require maintenance as its shaky. It moves according to our gesture and thats disturbing.
What I didn’t really like was the limited food choices, price and services. And have place order at the counter.
We was welcomed with a rack consists of cakes (something like a handmade ones? No idea) and there was alot of empty boxes and misc stuff at the back of the cake display (water bottle, parcel, paper box etc) - attached picture.
There’s not much western food, no pastries in the cafe. I think Coffee is their main. Menu was printed A4 papers on a clip-on wooden board.
We was actually expecting some big breakfast/pastries to pair with coffee on the day visited but sadly there aren’t any. So we ordered a Minced Pork w Scrambled Egg Rice (RM15) & a Pork Bulgogi Rice Bowl (RM20) just to try on the taste. And a cuppa Mocha (RM16).
Food was nice. Mocha was a failure to me. There’s an acidic taste to it which is not up to my liking and the both of us couldn’t even drink half of the small tall cup served (as photo attached). So we left it there.
We then talked to one of the staff about this issue and the staff looks confused, then responded with “oh the chocolate is sour, maybe its that” and then just turned. Oh wow. We were definitely surprised. But its fine.
We stood up and wanted to just walk away with the Mocha left (almost in its original form, it was served not full). And one who looks more like a manager or boss asked us is anything ok with the drink and we told it tasted sour/acidic so we couldn’t. And then he brought us to the counter to explain to us that the chocolate they used was a 72% Kelantan chocolate which has a acidic taste to it, and the coffee beans they used are also acidic. He mentioned there’s customers who complaint about this problem too, but he have no idea how to solve the problem and I suggested him to give out 2 options for people to choose. If you know it might taste differently from what they have been consuming at almost all other cafes, they should’ve informed prior to us placing order. Isn’t that right?? Well wasted my RM16 for that cuppa.
Tbh i personally think they prices are on a higher note, given the area is a housing area, in a low cost flat, minimal reno, and no parking. I really don’t think they should charge a good RM16 for a cup of coffee (or even RM14 for a cup of cappucino).
This price is alrdy similar like those in Bens, Wizards, Pokok, Nippori, etc that heavily renovated their restaurant.
Attached photo of menu and picture of visit and also the floating table (couldnt attach video) but attached one uneven table photo as well as the messy background of the cake display.
It was a cafe below my expectation that I will...

Read moreIt has potential to be one of the best cafe in the neighbourhood or perhaps Klang Valley. But just feel that they lack of something... Hmmm... Yes, it's lack of an organised end to end 'Process'. The food is okay, the cake is nice, the coffee is not bad, the staff's services is a hit & miss. For a 3 years+ old cafe, they should have ironed out a well organised system or SOP if they did do a review regularly. Communication between the staff is important as well. During the weekend, the number of patrons is overwhelming. They set up a process to jot down your name and phone number, so that they can call you while there is a seat for you. Sounds good but they didn't repeat your number after jot it down and it is a mistake waiting to be happened if they didn't write down your number correctly. Suggestion: Let the customer to write down their own number on any form of electronic device. So there will be no blaming game when you couldn't get your customer because the number is key in by themselves. Secondly, during the covid pandemic, they didn't check our temperature nor confirm that we have scanned the QR code. I hope that i'm not the Covid-19 carrier, else other patrons of the day could be infected as the gap between the table is quite small. They still serve plain water in the bottle where put on the customer table, chances of the bottle getting contaminated by the bacteria is high. Suggestion: put a small water dispenser at the common area and let the customer serve themselves. Yes, there's still a room of...
