I am writing to express my disappointment with our recent order from Punjabi Rasoi, Titiwangsa Sentral placed through Grab booking ID A-7I2BJXEWWER88W. Unfortunately, the overall experience did not meet our expectations in terms of food quality, packaging, and order accuracy. To begin with, the food was delivered in very plain packaging, wrapped only in polythene with a receipt on top listing the items and quantities. There was no branding or logo on the packaging, which is unusual compared to other restaurants like Namaste India or Moghul Mahal, where the packaging clearly reflects the restaurant’s identity. This raises concerns about whether the food was actually sourced directly from Punjabi Rasoi or from another cheap establishment. Additionally, there was an issue with the order accuracy. We had ordered two garlic naan and two butter naan. However, we received only three pieces of garlic naan, which corresponds to just one order instead of two. Meanwhile, the butter naan had five pieces, which was consistent with two orders. Such discrepancies in portioning were disappointing. The biggest concern, however, was the quality of the food. Both the Dal Makhani and Kadhai Paneer were excessively oily, which made them quite unappetizing. The Kadhai Paneer, in particular, did not seem fresh, as some of the onions had a sour/stale taste, and there was an overwhelming amount of food coloring. Even after washing a few pieces of paneer for the children, the color remained, which was quite concerning. The paneer itself did not have the freshness one would expect, raising doubts about whether it had been prepared the same day or if it was from an older batch. Overall, this experience was highly unsatisfactory. Not only were portions incorrect, but the quality of the food also left us no choice but to discard most of it, particularly the Kadhai Paneer and Dal Makhani. This has made us hesitant to order again from this restaurant or through Grab. A thorough investigation is needed from your side.

Came here for vegetarian and pork-free dining. Was not disappointed. Good air con environment and clean. Seating is a bit cumbersome as is it 3 pax in a row type. Food and drinks serving time a bit slow. Took forever for momo to arrive. Maybe only one person working in the kitchen. Masala tea and punjabi tea was weak in spices but ok with milk and tea. Not much difference in either tea as spice taste was almost non existent. Veg thali set came with panner in place of meat. Good variety. Quantity wise for the pickled chutney and cucumber carrot could be a bit more. Overall a good set. Pani puri was a disappointment. The tamarind liquid viscosity was like ketchup. Both mint and tamarind liqiud were too salty and viscosity were off. Definitely not traditional style pani puri. Overall a place can be visited again. Price wise a bit high fir vegetarian. But considering air con on hot day premium.

Punjabi Rasoi – Good Indian Food with Great Thali Options We visited Punjabi Rasoi for lunch and found it to offer a wide variety of dishes, just as you’d expect in any Indian restaurant. The highlight of their menu is the thali options (both veg and non-veg), which are reasonably priced and offer great value. However, a heads-up: they only serve the thali until 3 PM, so if you’re planning to try it, make sure to visit before then. After 3 PM, you can still order from the rest of their menu. We arrived a bit late and ordered Chicken Tikka, Dal Tadka, and rice. The taste was better than average—flavors were well-balanced and the food was satisfying. The restaurant has a pleasant ambiance, and it’s located in a quieter part of town, making it easy to find without dealing with crowds.

Reviews of Punjabi Rasoi - Titiwangsa

Recently, I had the pleasure of dining at Punjabi Rasoi in Titiwangsa, and I must say it was an unforgettable culinary experience. As someone who enjoys authentic North Indian cuisine, this restaurant exceeded my expectations in every way. From the food to the service and ambiance, everything was exceptional, making it a must-visit destination for anyone craving hearty Punjabi flavors.

Ambiance and Atmosphere

The first thing that struck me upon entering Punjabi Rasoi was its warm and welcoming atmosphere. The restaurant exudes a sense of coziness, with tasteful décor that reflects Punjabi culture. The soft lighting, rustic wooden accents, and vibrant wall art depicting traditional Indian motifs created a relaxed and inviting setting. It’s the kind of place where you feel comfortable whether you’re dining casually with friends or having a special family meal.

Authentic Punjabi Flavors

The food, of course, is the star of the show. Punjabi Rasoi serves up an impressive variety of North Indian dishes that are packed with bold and authentic flavors. We started our meal with their vegetable samosas and paneer tikka, both of which were cooked to perfection. The samosas were crispy on the outside and filled with a deliciously spiced potato filling, while the paneer tikka was smoky, tender, and marinated with rich spices.

For the main course, we ordered a mix of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes, and each one was a masterpiece. The butter chicken was a standout—creamy, flavorful, and cooked with a perfect balance of spices. The palak paneer, made with fresh spinach and soft cubes of paneer, had a homemade feel that reminded me of authentic Punjabi home cooking. Their dal makhani, a signature dish, was rich, buttery, and slow-cooked to bring out its deep flavors.

The bread selection was equally impressive. We tried their garlic naan, tandoori roti, and lachha paratha, all of which were freshly made and paired perfectly with the gravies. The naan, in particular, was fluffy with just the right amount of charred edges from the tandoor. To complement our meal, we also ordered a refreshing mango lassi and a cooling sweet lassi, which were thick, creamy, and absolutely delightful.

Portions and Pricing

The portion sizes at Punjabi Rasoi were generous, making it perfect for family-style dining. The pricing was reasonable, especially considering the quality and authenticity of the food. It’s clear that the restaurant takes pride in delivering value for money without compromising on ingredients or taste.

Service and Hospitality

The service was impeccable. From the moment we were seated, the staff was attentive, friendly, and eager to help us navigate the menu. They were happy to provide recommendations and ensured that our needs were met throughout the meal. The food was served promptly and arrived piping hot, which further enhanced the dining experience.

A Special Mention

One thing that truly sets Punjabi Rasoi apart is their commitment to authenticity. You can tell that every dish is prepared with love and care, staying true to the traditional Punjabi recipes. The use of fresh spices and ingredients was evident in every bite, and it’s clear that they strive to give diners an experience that feels both comforting and indulgent.

Final Thoughts

My visit to Punjabi Rasoi in Titiwangsa was nothing short of exceptional. Whether you’re a fan of North Indian cuisine or simply looking to try something new, this restaurant offers an unforgettable journey through the rich flavors of Punjab. The combination of delicious food, warm ambiance, and excellent service makes it a standout dining destination in Kuala Lumpur. I highly recommend Punjabi Rasoi for anyone seeking a memorable meal, and I can’t wait to return to try more...
