Sometime in November 2019. One would expect great tasting food judging from the crowd. We were left somewhat disappointed. Noodles were ok, chewy enough, somewhat soggy also, not springy.
I ordered the signature Char Siew Won Ton Noodles. MSG was a little too much for my liking. Need to drink quite some water to quench my thirst afterwards. First bite of the noodles was a clear giveaway due to the sweetness.
Char Siew was good enough, not actually tender but chewy without being tough and juicy, albeit a little sweet. Won ton was average with the soup fell short of expectations, unpleasant fishy taste of anchovies strong and overpowering. Fried Won Ton fared better with slightly crunchy skin and tasty enough filling.
Curry noodles were a little below par. We have tasted better.
As in many similar type of eateries, tea and toasted bread with butter and coconut jam were acceptable.
Prices were affordable which provided some saving grace to our experience.
Overall rating : 2.5 stars.
Update : Different Good Taste outlets serve up different taste and quality . C180 outlet was definitely better with surprisingly more slices of char siew !
Update : 9th June 2019. Curry Wonton Noodles was good enough. Curry was quite good but Wonton noodle was rather soggy this time. Should go for Rice Vermicelli or Kuey...
Read moreGood Taste Restaurant in Bukit Jalil offers a satisfying and comforting dining experience rooted in traditional Chinese flavors. Having started as a humble street vendor in 1970, their journey and loyal patrons speak volumes about their commitment to quality and taste.
Their noodle dishes, particularly the Wanton Mee (a recipe passed down through generations), are also popular. The noodles have a good texture, and the accompanying char siew and broth contribute to a flavorful meal. The char siew is on the fatty side and really melts in your mouth.
The restaurant offers efficient service and reasonable prices, making it a good option for a casual meal. The ambiance is clean and comfortable, suitable for families and individuals alike. However, during peak hours, waiting times for food can be significant, so it might be wise to visit during off-peak times.
While some dishes might be perceived as having milder flavors, possibly catering to a broader palate, the overall consensus is that Good Taste delivers consistently good and value-for-money Chinese cuisine.

Read moreThis shop serves one of the best bread toast and I believe the reason is because they grilled the bread over charcoal instead of normal machine toast. It gives a nice aromatic smell to the bread from the charcoal fire and with a generous layer of butter and kaya, there you go! A wonderful and delicious toast bread!
The way this shop serves the half boiled egg is special too. The eggs are placed inside a jug of hot water when served and you will be asked to time it for 5 minutes before breaking the eggs yourself.
The other food served here is pretty delicious too. You can order the rice with bbq pork or roast pork or you can also have the curry Mee. Although the curry Mee is nothing great to shout about, I find the chilli paste served with curry Mee kinda special and tasty!
If you want to order drinks, the ice milk coffee is recommended. Not extremely sweet and the mixture between the coffee, milk and sugar is just nice to my liking.
This shop opens from morning till night so you can have your breakfast, lunch, tea time or even dinner at this place and you will definitely find the wide range of food selection from the menu exciting to...
