Restoran Tajudin Nasi Beriani — Restaurant in Kuala Lumpur

I came for lunch at 12:36 PM KL time. My family and I found the place while strolling around Central Market. It was crowded because of the peak hour, but luckily we got a table. They don’t just serve Biryani/Beriani rice; they also offer regular white rice with a buffet system. It’s hard to find places in KL that serve regular white rice, as most places sell 'Nasi Lemak,' even at Texas Chicken. You need to tell the stall worker what kind of rice you want, and they’ll serve it on your plate. Then, you can choose from a variety of dishes like Ayam Saus, Rendang, Ikan Sarden, Kerang Saus, Telur Balado, and more. Besides the buffet, you can also order 'Fried Rice,' 'Indomie Goreng,' or Fried Noodles, as the employees are from Indonesia. However, the waitress wasn’t very friendly (I think she was Indonesian too). I knew of Tajudins nasi beriyani when they were located in the alleyway near Central Market. The stall wasn't the best place to sit and have lunch. It was hot and humid (with a capital H) and crowded. So we would take away and have a leisurely lunch at the office. Then they moved and I lost track. But i came across them by chance again and headed to Jln Hang Kasturi the very next day. Parking is a major problem but I somehow found a lot at the Cosmo hotel some 150m away. It cost me rm12 for an hour!! The food is still pretty good here. What one needs to do is to limit the different gravys they have on hand - this is NOT nasi kandar!!! Just keep to the red sambal. That it! Get the fried chicken or whatever meat you fancy. And go with that. The sambal adds a different flavour to the beriyani which is good. I was so taken (after missing it for some 20 years) I forgot to take pictures! I must say that the food here is very affordable so kudos...

Today's experience was not up to the bar... took lunch at 2pm, The food taste still the same, nice and delicious. But the food was very cold. They did not heat up the curry or other dishes. When asked to the staff, it seems today they had less crowd so the foods was leftover since 10am morning so they couldn't topup with the newly cooked dishes. An Answer which doesn't answer my question!!! So basically, those who goes after 2pm and it's not a crowded day for the shop, they will serve with cold foods only BUT they will charge the same price no discount if food served cold.. Purely luck!!! My luck today was COLD TAJUDIN BERIANI NONSENSE!

A restaurant which has high turnover but could upgrade their system. Can't even buy a proper heat up...
