It was one of those days ( nights ) that we were not into a heavy meal. I'd suggested something different and out popped the idea of having teo chew porridge instead or fir a change. We went off to a place I knew of long long ago. It was still there and was lucky to find a parking space right outside. We picked a few rather some dish, a stewed duck, salted egg, fish in black bean, a preserved veggi As we wanted something uncomplicated, this meal was as straight forward as It could. Ended up I finished 2 bowls of porridge Before I pay the bill I inquired the owner, how old have they been operation and he gladly answered 36 years. As for the meal quality was up to expectation but the bill was slightly on the heavier side if my scale. Service was prompt. Would suggest this place to anyone who was fed up with std Chinese...

Came here in the evening for dinner. They have porridge and rice, with a good variety of Teochew style dishes, mainly for porridge lovers. Food is cooked fresh. I had rice with some fried potato leaves (RM 7) which was ok. The vege was a bit oily for me. Also order a portion of duck drumstick (RM15). Duck was tender and well cooked. The flavor was just ok. I was hoping for more herbal taste, but tasted like braised in soy sauce only. When I was here, there wasn't much crowd. There are other popular dishes where I saw others ordered like braised tofu, salted vegetables, dace fish with black beans and more. Overall, good variety of dishes, and I felt the price was high. Parking is super difficult, one way is to park at Lalaport or TImes Square...

A pretty disappointing restaurant that specializes in teochew congee with assorted viand and condiments for one's selection. Portion served are really small and if you like a certain dish, its better to tell them to double the portion. The stew duck is really disappointing as its not fresh and tasted like a frozen rock. My suspicion is that the dishes are recycled everyday by adding a bit of the freshly cooked to those leftovers. Restaurant is average in size and hygiene is average. Prices are on the high side considering the dishes they serve and the portion. Parking is an absolute nightmare . Recommended to skip this if possible despite some good reviews by others. There are definitely some better congee...
