Was pretty disappointed. Read a lot of reviews praising the flavour and taste (even comparing to burgerlab). If the prices were a lot cheaper, I think I wouldn't be this critical. Ordered a classic American + set + strawberry milkshake which was around RM 40. That's quite a lot for fast food.
The patty was thin, dry with hardly any flavour. The buns were equally tasteless and dry. Hardly tasted the cheese. But in its favour, for a gourmet burger, it was pretty big. But as a staple, basic American beef burger (which every burger store should do good), this was a disappointment. Ala carte it was RM 19.90.
The fried were no help either. At an additional RM 6.90 for fries and a can of coke, it figured the fries would be seasoned nicely. But they tasted like generic frozen fries. No flavour and hard (not crunchy, hard to chew.)
The milkshake is a little subjective. Is it the BEST? No, but it's pretty decent. I ordered a strawberry and banana milkshake which tasted alright as best. I do wish it was a little colder and thicker in consistency but that's my preference. What i don't agree with is how much they give you in relation to the price. The glass looks tall, but it's not a lot of drink in it. Take it as you will.
The redeeming factor is their special sauce. It's really really good. I do like the slight spice and kick (I think it's like a spicy mayo). I pretty much drenched my burger and fries with it to give my meal some flavour. Ambience is very nice too! Loads of plug points so if you wanted to do work here, there's that. And multiple cashless payments options too.
I do think taste is subjective but for the prices you are getting, I do wish it would have been better. Their motto is let our burgers do the talking. It said a lot, but nothing at all. 2 stars for the ambience, special sauce and...
Read moreVery disappointing experience. I was attracted by the great reviews on Google maps. I have been trapped but of course as am very much convinced that most of these reviews can't be true or people really like to eat bad food! (?????), I will never eat there again obviously.
I received fries that have probably been cooked twice or 3 times!!! Hard and horrible taste. They kindly changed them but they should have thought about it before serving it as it set my mood for the rest.
They burn the cheese to make that ridiculous useless flat round shape that doesn't make any sense culinary and practically wise around the burger. How do you want your mouth to reach the entire burger with the flat cheese surrounding the burger of 10cm??? Like the Saturn belt 😂😂😂. Come on guys a bit of common sense and it is so tasteless. The burger had some salad, 2 pickles, 2 slices of tomatoes (yes I counted) and caramelized onions. The bread was horrible. Industrial bread not even toasted and the cheese (yes the flat one) was sticking to it, it was then impossible to rearrange your burger to eat it properly. I ate like a pig fighting with the one tissue they put on the table to clean my fingers. I could carry on with the mango smoothie that was also tasteless. They give you a big glass like 30cm big very thin and you sit at about 70cm from the ground which makes your glass plus the straw of about another 10cm at 110cm high! 😂😂😂 I had to bring the glass at my elbow level to be able to drink...and I am 1.89m tall... Cleanliness...no comment...Service...no comment...conclusion: I will never recommend anyone to eat there. Sorry guys but for the 50RM+...
Read moreThis little restaurant kept popping up on Google maps whilst staying at Berjaya Times Square Hotel. It is virtually outside the side door to the left of the check in desk on Lorong 1/77a. It describes itself as a burger joint with the catch phrase,'Our burgers speak for themselves.' I selected the American Classic' from the top of the menu after first ordering & paying up front at the cashiers booth to the left as you walk in the door. The restaurant is approached via a stairway leading up from the street & anyone who sat at one of the outside tables expecting waiter service might wait a long time. This operation seems to run on minimalist principles much like some of the multi nationals but without the touchscreens. Once your order has been taken & paid for you are issued with a numbered block of wood which serves as your table number. I was the only patron at 2.30pm on a Saturday afternoon but 5 others followed soon after. My burger was fresh & tasty. It was comprised of good old Aussie beef which was in stark contrast to the Golden Arches burger I had tried at breakfast! My french fries came in their little basket & were freshly fried & much larger than the corporate fries served for my breakfast. The atmosphere was non existant but that was probably more to do with my timing. I was provided with 3 bottles of different flavour sauces which I could squirt into some little containers sitting on the serving tray on which my burger was delivered. The total cost for my 'combo' was 30.25 RM including taxes & compared to what I had been served in the morning, this was...
