Big fan of wood-fired Neapolitan pizza here, I don't think there are enough pizzerias who do this style in this part of the world. So WOP was a much welcome recent discovery, have visited a few times since. The foundation to a good pizza is always the crust/dough - and they get this right. Airy yet sufficiently chewy, with a very light crisp on the surface. Light enough for a whole pizza to be manageable for an above-average eater. Just a couple of observations. As some have pointed, the tomato sauce can taste a little tart, raw or diluted - and I detected that too on the Queen Marg, where the sauce looked almost transparent and was still swimming. The taste stuck out and did not integrate well. Felt the sauce could use some reduction to not only elevate the tomato flavor, but also harmonize better with the other ingredients - which I thought was actually achieved with the Smoked Wagyu Rocket I had on a separate occasion. Secondly, there were times when the crust seemed to be a tad over-charred and started to taste bitter / burnt. The right hint of woodfire char / leoparding is right, but presence of a bitter after-taste is probably not ideal. Was more pronounced on the classic variations, not sure if it's an issue of heat control, or if the oven needed a wipe down. Not a major deal breaker, but very noticeable when it is present - and it tends to be the last thing you taste after finishing a slice (last bite being the crust). The Smoked Wagyu Rocket was outstanding as mentioned, liked the Quattro Formaggi (mild and pleasant enough), the Tarfuto Straciatella was okay (was a little too creamy and overpowering for me). Overall, a very commendable pizzeria with some solid foundations to their pizza-making, and one I'd gladly keep visiting. Just a few observations around consistency above, once improved could make them really stand out. Shop doesn't have a whole lot of seating, and feels more like an extension of a family home's kitchen - which is fine, just be aware and don't expect it to run like a full fledged restaurant.

Came across this place on Tiktok serving authentic Italian pizzas around KL. As a pizza lover, I HAD to come here. Now, for disclosure, I have yet to taste any 'authentic' pizzas that are exactly from Italy, so I am not a judge of rating such high quality pizzas from this establishment. But what I CAN say, is how delicious the pizzas were! I've ordered the Queen Margherita and the Lamb Pesto pizzas, including lemonade totalling to RM 110 ±. The Queen Margherita is a must-try classic if you come here! The tangy flavour from the tomato puree pairs well with the fatty cheese, and the basil adds freshness and aroma to the pizza. The dough base was perfect for both pizzas, it was gooey and soft in the centre and gets progressively crispier on the edges, a sensation of textures to liven up your palate! Next is the Lamb Pesto. It was my first time trying out Pesto based sauce, and also my first time trying lamb meat on pizzas. And.. it was so wonderful! This pizza is the direct opposite of its former compadre. If being fresh and light was the Queen, then this must be the King! Its flavours are bold and heavy like that of warriors on the battlefield charging for war! The saltiness of the lamb meat won a one sided victory over the herbs of the pesto sauce. Despite the clash of flavours, they still complement each other strongly, like brothers after a fight. The service was professional and the cashier was very friendly! Despite 2 of their part timers being absent, they still served with a smile and provided us insights on each dish. The atmosphere and look of the establishment is aesthetic and beautiful for pictures. Overall, WOP Pizzeria gets a very good score in my pizza list. I assure those that are worried about spending their money, to remember that, you are not paying for the food only, you'll also get irreplaceable memories and a new experience, maybe with your loved ones or maybe by yourself. Much love and blessings, see y'all soon in the future with more successes!!

Hands down one of the best pizzas I have eaten in KL and Klang Valley. They served some of the best Napoli style sourdough pizza with fresh high-quality ingredients. Cooked in a wood-fired oven, the pizza had some charred and smoky infused flavours from the oven. We ordered three different types of pizza - the Margherita, Quattro Formaggi, and also the Smoked Beef and Rocket which was topped with plentiful of rocket. Location wise, it will be quite difficult to find amidst all the shops and zones in Plaza Damas if you are not familiar with the area. But if you happen to pass by it, its chic flaming red facade will surely turn some heads. Prior to our arrival it rained heavily, so the outdoor area was wet. We decided to go to their upper level which at that time was empty and quite comfortable. Prices were slightly on the higher side, ranging from RM24 - RM49. Our Margherita was RM34 but the taste and flavours made it worth the money. However, one thing that can be improved is how they packed their food, hence the 4 stars. We had 2 slices of pizza left (which is equivalent to half a pizza) and wanted to packed them. We thought we will get a pizza box, but instead they packed the pizza slices in a disposable brown paper lunch box with the pizzas being stacked on top of one another. As a result of that, the toppings of the bottom slice, naturally, were stucked to the bottom of the top slice on the next day. Having said that, we will definitely come again and try other flavours. Even the simplest of the pizza - the Margherita – which is usually a benchmark for any pizza parlour, tasted divine.
