Came here for wedding anniversary with my hubby. Saw this long time ago and wanted to try as the concept looks quite interesting plus we both love yakiniku.
We wanted to order the basic buffet but it only has 3 types of pork meat to choose from and quite pricey RM49.90/pax on public holiday and weekends so we decided to go for ala-carte instead. They have set price too but we felt it’s not worth it so we went for ala-carte. There’s not many choices in the menu as compared to other yakiniku places. We love beef tongue but they don’t have in their menu. Here has more pork meats than beef. They have iberico pork as well but we didn’t try. Ordering ala-carte is definitely pricier but we have more options to choose. In the end we didn’t really feel that satisfied with the food as we weren’t as full as when we ate at other yakiniku places.
We ordered belly pork, belly neck, chicken wings, scallops. Belly pork was quite dry, chicken wings and scallops was so so. Belly neck is surprisingly nice. Sauces are not bad. We may have higher expectations for food taste as we love yakiniku and have tried many others. Taste wise this place is really so so. But environment and atmosphere is good as it feels like a campsite. It’s very windy so our tissue keep flying away. Im pregnant when I went so the campsite chair is really low and uncomfortable for me, even for my husband as well. The table is low so when we bend forward is really uncomfortable. We told the owner and he said there’s actually another type of table and chairs for elderly and pregnant people but too late as we were not aware of it. The good thing is the...
Read moreI visited The Kyanpu twice and the experience was just okay. The Classic Buffet (RM39.90 not yet including tax) only had three pork options, and it would be much better if there were more choices, especially vegetables. No free water was provided, which didn’t make sense in a smokey BBQ setting, though they do give free ice cream, but I think not everyone likes having ice cream. If free refillable water was provided for everyone, it would feel more suitable and satisfying. The ambience is nice and the food quality is decent, but some extra charges like soup and water felt a bit expensive compared to other places. Service could also be improved, as sometimes we had to raise our hands for a long time and no one noticed ,maybe having a bell or a calling system would help. Overall, not bad, but could be improved to feel more...

I recently dined at The Kyanpu and had an incredible outdoor yakiniku experience! The ambiance was perfect, the staffs were attentive and friendly.
The quality of the meat was outstanding—each cut was tender, flavorful, and grilled to perfection right at our table. The variety of sauces and sides complemented the dishes beautifully.
What made the experience even more enjoyable was the setup. The outdoor seating was well-spaced, making it feel cozy yet comfortable. The view was lovely, which added a serene touch to the meal.
Overall, The Kyanpu is a must-visit for anyone who loves yakiniku and enjoys dining outdoors. Whether you're with friends, family, or on a date, it's a fantastic spot to savor delicious food in a beautiful setting. I can't...
