Tom, Dick & Harry's @ The Sphere — Restaurant in Kuala Lumpur

Yet another bar that suffers from the same sort of problems that many bars in KL /PJ do... But first it's an OK place. Nice decoration but yet again little thought really given to the design in terms of service. An example of poor planning on how staff are expected to serve customers when busy. Not the fault of staff (although one of the day I do hope, eventually, proper training will be given) but the fault of the designer in where they put the POS terminals, and bar serving design/location. Customers will only see these problems during busy times though. As is typical for Malaysia the DJ would be sacked anywhere else for playing inappropriate genre music against the music style of the band playing (who list people come to see). Stage is much better than average, lighting adequate and sound system very good for a bar although lacking as a music venue. No toilets on site (use nearby facilities). Overall good venue with adequate/typical service for KL/PJ. Bands much above average. Usual drinks fare. House wines ok (for Malaysia). Confirm bill before fore paying though....

One of the worst cocktails I ever had. Margarita and whiskey sour tasted like lime juice! My first drink was margarita and it had no alcohol at all. Thinking that they were poor with margaritas, I ordered a whiskey sour. But all I tasted was just lime juice. I passed my drink around my friends to taste test and they were in agreement with me. And after I complained to the service staff, they just shrugged and left, citing that I already drank half of the glass. Only after I complained again, he took my glass away (looked like he topup a little bit, with what I am not sure) but still tasted like lime juice when he returned. Prices ain't cheap with RM48 for a whiskey sour. Band was so so. I don't mind paying but I don't wanna pay RM 48 for lime juice. My final drink was beer but it felt like their beer was diluted. Was there last night, 13th Oct...I know this is not a full fledged fancy steakhouse where one should expect the best cuts or superior meat quality but dear management, please order a steak as an anonymous diner and tell me if the steaks served there is worth the RM75 you charge for it...I wouldn't pay more than RM25 for it really. Awful tasting...extremely under-seasoned, not sure if the meat was a marinated but whatever I tasted was awful. Obviously the Chef was not trained to cook a steak, wanted it medium-well and it came well-done. The sauce was awful and watery. Please improve coz the other items on your menu are done fairly well. Service and atmosphere is good, for me.
