Here's a good review on the staff in a Japanese restaurant: Subject: Outstanding Service from Chia Siao Fei at Rakuzen Hartamas "We are regular diners at Rakuzen Hartamas Shopping Mall and consistently enjoy our meals. However, our recent experience was truly exceptional thanks to the outstanding service provided by Chia Siao Fei. Today, we were celebrating a birthday with our family, which includes members who are visually impaired. Siao Fei went above and beyond to ensure their comfort and enjoyment throughout our dining experience. His attentiveness, patience, and genuine care were truly heartwarming. Furthermore, knowing that I have gastric issues, Siao Fei thoughtfully served us with a delicious cawanmushi while we awaited our main course. This thoughtful gesture not only demonstrated his attentiveness to our individual needs but also significantly enhanced our overall dining experience. Siao Fei's exceptional service not only added to the joy of our birthday celebration but also created a memorable and positive dining experience for our entire family. We sincerely appreciate his dedication and would highly recommend Rakuzen Hartamas to anyone seeking a delightful dining experience with...
Read moreMy experience from dining in any Rakuzen has always ended in a big disappointment and I leave hungry because I choose not to consume such horrible Japanese food. Mediocre quality and portion with an above average price point.
This time I ordered a claypot udon that comes with tempura dishes on the side. The tempura dishes were soggy because it was soaked together with the soup in the claypot. Any chef with common sense would know that putting anything crispy into the soup will make it soggy before it even reaches the customer's mouth. My udon was also soggy, probably overcooked but I'm unsure if this is considered the normal standards as I'm aware that a lot of people like their spaghetti soggy. I requested for it to be replaced but it my udon came back the same. Another common sense to the chefs, if you're going to be repeating the exact same cooking method, do expect the results to be the same as the previous disaster too.
I hope this franchise dies in Malaysia as Rakuzen is a disgrace to...
Read moreI haven't been here for a while and decided to return. Regretfully, the quality has dropped. I ordered Nabeyaki Udon and was totally disappointed. The egg broke in the soup and that messed up the clean flavours and appearance. The kitchen and service staff should have seen it and made a fresh one but that was not the case. Had a couple of sushi and that was ok, something I could get from any other Japanese restaurant.
Update on 5 January 2020 I added 2 more stars after my lunch today! I ordered the udon and nigiri set and it was really good. The udon had a nice spring to the bite, the nigiri had the right amount of wasabe and just the right size, and I received wonderful service at the counter. The wait staff was busy but the chefs took care of me. I received an delightful tomato and tuna gelee too! Unexpected but...
