Rainforest Restaurant — Restaurant in Malacca

Building constructive criticism they say hmm...To be honest, the scenery along the Melaka River is very beautiful with free Wifi connection for their customers are something worth praising for

BUT.

The attitude from the staff is unacceptable- never a waiter in a high-end restaurant/hotel would watch their customers moving tables BY THEMSELVES but we just experienced it. One of the waiters even asked my friend to pick up the rubbish herself even though it is their job to do it. (those weren't the end of my story yet)

Why didn't we see this lackadaisical attitude when they serve other foreign customers? Well, I hypothetically assume that this is due to discrimination for young locals whom from their point of view are undeserving for good services for not being generous with tips.

If you are looking for good services merely because you are a customer, don't ever step inside - they will just watch you and imagining you won't be able to afford anything and tips but will changing their attitudes completely when you are unexpectedly generous to them.

I hope my assumptions weren't true but it just...

would say the ambience and surroundings of the place is brilliant but the downside to this would be the staff's actions as they were oblivious to my friends and i who were trying to join tables as they just stood to watch us from a distance and right after we adjusted everything, they said they could've helped - what a great job on playing innocent guys.

plus, this waiter was very rude to us and didn't treat us with respect as we seemed "immature" or "too young". such staff like this should realise their actions before making a complete fool out of themselves.

the food was so-so, i ordered the sizzling chicken boneless thigh with mushroom sauce and it came with a side of salad that had too much of sesame dressing that i could barely taste the vegetables and the chicken seemed to be a little dry. my friend ordered this meatball meal and it was very sweet and the garlic bread was too salty.

overall, it wasn't a great experience at this "oh so...

Me and my family came in at about 9.20, we had no business coming in so late, and were informed that we would have to wait longer for our orders to arrive, we agreed, and sat around to chat away the night. Food did indeed take a while to come, but that's fair, and they were delicious! We even got a discount and a free slice of this really nice cheesecake afterwards, despite us coming so late, the staff were all really friendly, and their customer service is top notch!

The riverside atmosphere was also really harnessed and integrated perfectly into the restaurant's dining experience, overall, just a true, hidden gem in Malacca, highly...
