Wondering how this place would describe as “Atas” 🤔 as I thought it’s kind of rooftop or something. But it is not 😅
Anyway, the environment looks good with real leaves and plants. We went on night time so it is kinda dark for me to see to walk in through like in the jungle. But maybe day time would be nice to see.
Food - hmm I can say it’s super expensive! Portobello Mushroom Fettuccine is okay. Price is ok for that because I know the portobello is not cheap. But please give more mushroom instead just the homemade cream mushroom. Like mushroom soup dip into the pasta. Lol.
And for the Fish N Chips 🤦🏻♀️ price not worth it for that! It cost me RM39.90 and I thought it would be good for barramundi fish or the fresh cut dory fish. Turn out that it has disappointed me. I’m not satisfied with this. They serve that fish fillet is likely you can buy the frozen one that can be found in the shopping mall. Imagine for that price?! How would this make sense tho? I even can find a better Fish N Chips in Melaka restaurant. And it is freshly cut and the price is so much cheaper than this.
I don’t know. Probably they overcharge due to its location and environment? Probably. I understand that it is touristy area. I’m a Malaccan. So I know how the price should be.
Drinks so so. Didn’t order special one as it is over priced for that.
Nah, now I know it called “Atas” as the price also “ATAS” (high class)
You may visit for the good environment they had but not the food and drinks. And they do have 10% service charge additional. So I don’t feel it is worth it to pay for the food for...
Read moreCame with 9 persons without reservation on a Friday evening, waiters helped to organize a big table. Restaurant was not full that evening. Ordered drinks and food, waiters took their time until everything was sorted out by us, plus point. Drinks were delivered quite fast, some were forgotten but settled after follow up. First food came in, Tomate soups, was cold. Had to return to kitchen to heat it up. Taste itself was good, but after heating up too long, didn’t taste fresh anymore. Next came some sweat potato fries, these were good. We ordered another set of fries. Now came the long wait. Nasi Lemak mutton took more than 45 mins. Taste ok, but mostly bones, barely any meat. But for the price, ok. Pizza took more than 1 hour in total and only arrived after threatening to cancel the order. Pizza itself is rich in taste. Salmon also took more than 1 hour and was already cold when it arrived, was dry inside. Felt like microwaved. The second set of fries came hot but not crunchy at all. So not fresh made, more like heated up in a microwave.
Considering the price point of this restaurant, the nice atmosphere near the river and that service really tried to solve the situation, in comparison the food was disappointing except for the pizza. If you want to wait for more than 1 hour for a pizza on the other hand is something everyone has to decide for themselves. We for sure won’t come back...
Read moreI would have give this place a 4 star rating if not for the service. I think since it been named 'Atas Restaurant' they think they only cater to those 'Atas' people mainly foreigner especially mat Saleh.
I'm very disappointed with the service of a lady at the cashier when we call so many times to order she ignore us and keep asking us to wait while making faces. Then she proceed to entertain few mat Saleh tables which clearly come after us. It was quite rude to think that they would serve them nicely and treat us like second class citizen. To be honest, you should treat your locals better as they are the one that will repeat to come to your restaurant even will recommend to other friends if you provide better service. Totally unacceptable service. The food was also so late and we have to ask so many times where is our food when most of the tables already gotten their food ( we are there not at peak hour, it was a lunch hour on a weekday). If you only want to cater mat Saleh and foreigners, please stated clearly so that locals won't waste their time dining in here
Regarding their food, I must say it was actually nice. The nasi lemak has that touch of nyonya style. Mee Siam was not bad either, simple but nice like oldstyle mee Siam. The price is quite pricey so I expect great service but so disappointed in the service
The restaurant is nice and healing with all...
