An interesting tourist and art buffs must-go shop which looks more like an art display centre run by a local artist named Charles Cham . His free style paintings are really interesting and he even has some of his work printed on t-shirts which can be bought as souvenir at a reasonable price. Premises is set on the banks of the Malacca river in an old building which I believe to be at least a century old based on its architecture. Entrance is free but parking is a nightmare. Highly recommended to give this place a look and visit if you are in the historic town of...

Visited back in Feb. The Orangutan House is a quirky little shop selling art and t-shirts designed by Charles Cham. Most of the t-shirts have a design in the centre with a local Malaysian flavour. I only bought one shirt due to the finite space in my backpack and it was a hard choice. There’s also some paintings on display, but I didn’t try to find out if they were for sale. Worth a look if you’re in Malacca, especially if you’re on the lookout for a unique tee from the city as a memento.
