Food is great as usual. This review is strictly for customer service only.
The lady in short hair with hat needs some training.
I told her that the water has gone bad when paying for the food but she told me "i don't think so, it's because of the lemon".
Not sure if she understands what it means to be "bad" but regardless of what causes the water to go bad (lemon or otherwise), it's still bad because it's very very bitter to the point of undrinkable (not normal bitter but bitterness from lemon going bad type).
I then explained that it's very bitter and she said that there is nothing wrong and that it's because of the lemon. I mean come on, i am not even complaining, i am just trying to remind you so that the other customers will not suffer the same thing (food was spicy and water was undrinkable kind of situation).
So instead of debating/arguing/denying what i said, she should have tried the water (which i asked her to and received no reply) to confirm what i said, but no she didn't.
The Malay girl in tudung is still the best server for me. Too bad she wasn't in all the time (maybe transferred to the kitchen side) but i think it would have been better if she remained fully on the server side (without jeopardising her...
Read moreFood 5/5 Ordered Oysters, Foie Gras, smoked duck with Battered fish served with butter rice and Prawn with Crabmeat Pasta
Oysters was served as appetizers and they are absolutely fresh and tender, served with lemon on the sides, recommended for first timers to try.
Overall the taste of foods from this restaurant are amazing, especially the duck that is served alongside the battered fish, the smokey-ness and the sweetness of the duck is something that is complimentable
One comment to add is the sheer size of the foie gras, which is misleading from the actual size in the seasonal menu, I have no issue of the size of the said foie gras, but i expected it to be bigger as it was on the menu.
Service 5/5
The service is top notch, one of the lady servers was very alert and ready at all times, once we are ready to order, the waitress came steadfast to our table to take our order, her service is very much...
Read moreI would definitely say that this is the best place for fish & chips in Melaka. Located opposite to Bei Zhan, the restaurant location is quite strategic. Staff here is friendly and the ambiance is quite decent & welcoming. Vast array of seafood are available on the menu. Many types of fishes, prawns, mussels and even lobster are available. The surf and turf for those who delight for something different. For starters, definitely recommend the creamy mussel. It's out of this World. The charcoal fish and chips is laced with salted egg sauce that definitely hits the spot. Bumbu fish for those who love extra spicy (there's fire bites that is super extra spicy). Pasta options are really good as well. Ice lemon tea is served on a jug. Really worth the money paid. Parking can be a issue sometimes, but overall a really great place for some Western or fusion seafood dishes. Do try the...
