We stayed at doubletree Hilton and we dined at the Italian restaurant 3 times during our stay.
First of all, the service by the staff was amazing and we felt like a VIP. Add that on with great food by the chef, and we canโt wait to try more of their dishes.
After a great meal on the first day, we decided to ask on their (1 day advance order dish) beef ribs with polenta - serves 2)
We manage to place a pre-order during our stay and this dish really blew us away. The beef ribs with polenta was very memorable dish. The sour cream , brown sauce and chimichanga made the dish all so much better.
The polenta was seasoned beautifully and creamy and is something one should try when dining here.
The portion was really huge and sides were plentiful. Side were done Omakase by the chef and the breaded broccoli and cauliflower was absolutely delicious.
Besides this memorable dish, we also managed to try the Cod fish, rib eye , sea bass and seafood linguine.
We also liked their homemade bread which was served with olive oil as a starter. Their Jug of water with fruits and Mint was also very refreshing
As a Hilton member we manage to get dining discount from this place and still earn points by charging to the room which made dining here very affordable compared to 1-altitude or any other tourist areas in Malacca.
It a real pity we had breakfast given at the hotel else we could have tried more...

The eatery exudes a warm and friendly ambience. Both indoor and outdoor seating areas, overlooking the poolside provides a relaxing feel. Each ordered they favourite dishes , drinks and desserts. Everyone enjoyed the dinner thoroughly. The crew service is courteous and efficient. Prices are reasonable for the casual but pleasant dinning experience. Comes with tartar sauce, a creamy purple cabbage slaw (unnecessary I thought) and a tiny salad on plate. Pizza - a 1*. Crust was a horrible disappointment. It was a "thin crust" but not an Italian thin crust. Like a biscuit. Toppings were sparse. Can't believe they serve that in an Italian restaurant!! Service was great. They gave us large glasses of iced water with a smile when asked for. And two little garlic buns as a starter. Atmosphere - must be...
