A revisit to this cafe during a business trip to Melaka. This time we came for lunch on a Friday afternoon. The place was very quiet, there was only another table occupied. Parking was fairly easy to get, I guess the tourism hasn't picked up since the MCO. We were greeted by the "please tone done" rocks used as paperweights for the guest register. 😅 Something we recalled from our previous visit. The ambience is very cozy, I guess that's what they are trying to achieve by telling people not to bee too noisy. This time we ordered the home made pan mee (Friday's special). We took one soup and one dry option. There is quite a wait thought despite the shop not being busy at that moment. The portion is very generous with a heaping amount of kuey inside. A healthy assortment of condiments includes slices mushrooms (I managed to identify shiitake and black mushroom), pucuk manis, crispy vegetarian anchovies and carrots. The soup version came with clear soup slightly thickened by egg. The egg wasn't overly cooked, so you get that blanched egg feeling. The dry version is similar, in fact we could not tell.yhe difference before we dug into the food, it came with a thicker soup/gravy with soy sauce. Both are served with sliced chilli padi and soy sauce with halfed calamansi. Overall the taste is great, a little richer than your usual pan mee but I would say it's worth a try. I am giving this a five star because the food is healthy, tasty and affordable. Do give them a try if you're in Melaka town next time. This is my third visit, I will come...
Read moreThis vegetarian restaurant has been around since 2018. Previous management was Veggie planet. I decided to give it a try, and I would say the foods were good! Tried the veggie curry set with rice and it is delicious. The fruit juice "House green", a mix of spinach, lemon and green apple is really concentrated and good too! Highly recommended for vegetarian! It is halal, suitable for family and children. It is also wheelchair friendly. Taste: 5 stars Service: 5 stars Cleanliness: 5 stars Price : 4 stars ( Reasonable price) Ambience: 5 stars
*9/11/18 I was rather disappointed to find out that this vegetarian restaurant is temporary closed till further notice. Missed the lui cha here..When I posted earlier, this restaurant was still known as Veggie Planet, but was surprised to see the name has been changed to Botanist Cafe as of today 9/11/18. May be it has changed management, looking forward to this restaurant...
Read moreWe reached here placed our orders by 145pm in the noon and waited for approximately 45min where our food were no even served yet.
We were then only been informed that they have lost our orders after we had raised ours uneasiness to them for the long waiting orders and canceled most of the previous orders just for a noodle.
Unfortunately, the noodle indeed was served within the next 10min but the food is definitely not worth for a 45min of waiting and noodles are watery and kinda tasteless.
You couldn't imagine a plate of the noodle like this cost u rm 28 per plate perhaps its for the Cny period but I can assure you can get a better one out there anywhere than this.
Those who reached later than us got their order earlier and done before us where we were the third customers in the house.
No apologies were made and given and the service was just do not...
