This might just be the best location to enjoy hotpot. Paired with the cooling weather, the immense vibes that come along with eating hotpot are so good! Located on the highest floor of SkyAvenue along the bar street, the restaurant is open to the cold air outside, which adds to the ambience. This is a really crowded and popular location, so be sure to make a reservation at least a day in advance if possible via their reservation website or phone. They do not accept same day reservations. You can choose to walk in, but depending on the crowd, you might need to wait a while. My group waited about 30-45 minutes before we could be seated. For walk ins, you just have to leave your contact details with the front desk staff and they will contact you when it’s your turn to be seated, so you can continue shopping while waiting. You will also be given an expected waiting time which in our experience, is pretty accurate and you typically don’t have to wait longer than an hour in most cases. When entering, you are reminded that the dining time is limited to only 1.5 hours. This feels quite rushed because hotpot typically is a very long meal to bond with friends and family. However, this is understandable due to the sheer amount of people waiting for their turn. It would be great if the dining limit is raised to make the experience feel less rushed and more enjoyable. The collagen soup was the highlight! It was so tasty, rich and smooth, and wasn’t too salty. Definitely the best collagen soup I’ve tried in a hotpot! It also comes with a lot of ingredients in the soup that add to the overall value of the broth. As for the ingredients, you have the choice to choose from half or full portion sizes, depending on your appetite. Their portion sizes are a little small for huge groups, so you might find yourself ordering double or 1.5 portions of a certain item, especially for meats. Similar to Haidilao, they also have a condiment bar with various condiments and fruits. They don’t have beancurd or cold sides though! They do have a yuzu slushy offered to you at the end of the meal though! Service was also good, and staff were attentive to us and offered to refill the soups and drinks for us. Overall a good experience and would definitely recommend trying this if you’re in Genting, and if you love hotpot!

Environment was modern elegant and classy. Expect to wait >2hours on normal days and >3hrs on peak hours (or to make rsvn days prior to your grand arrival). Each table was given an Ipad upon entry to place initial and additional order. Doesn’t accept ewallet payment. Service Crew Mr. Yik Hai is doing a really terrible job. Did not assist in getting sides i wanted (watermelon) which ran out of stock on the buffet table charges RM8+ per pax. Disappointing. MeiZiGuo’s services had a steep drop. Whereas Service Crew Wei Hong did a better job and gave better services. However for the services here, really don’t deserve the expensive price. A small portion of glass noodle charges RM6 without tax. 2 pax total spent RM360 on the night of our visit. Once again, disappointing services and portion received. First few visits which consists a small group (2-4person) was great. However, there’s once i went with a larger group (6-8person) and was arranged to be seated at the indoor round table. The superior soup was only taste for the first 2 times. The following refill soup is so bland. We continue ordering and the soup is getting lesser as time goes. The staff just keep refilling the base soup (which is not the original soup, only lightly flavoured soup - as mentioned by MZG Staff). Staff are not attentive to their customers as well, when we have serious request and really want the chef or the manager to look into this issue, waitresses told us that we only paid for the first filter of flavourful soup base. That is the most unacceptable attitude i have ever received for my dining experiences so far. Really rude. Not keen to even try to do something. Ingredients are great. Vege portion is small and pricy, but giving it’s located in genting, thats alright. Seat wise, i prefer outdoor seating. MALA soup wasn’t as authentic as i have tasted in Szechuan, but Collagen soup was good tho. Attached with pictures taken throughout visits.

Mala and collagen soup is good They don’t serve ice water for a place that serves mala…. Ok The staff seem very annoyed at our presence, like they are rushing us to go. When we came in they told us we have a 1.5 hour dining time, which I understand for peak periods but 1. It wasn’t full house when we arrived and it got even quieter as we ate and 2. 1.5hours is barely enough time to sit, order, cook and finish hotpot comfortably. When a plate was empty, they will stand there and stare at the plate for 5 seconds before coming to take it away, but when it comes to things like refilling the soup or removing the oil, they are very slow. When we were finishing our food, they seem extremely excited to turn off our fire and they went to take out the yuzu ice dessert, put it at their station and came over to us to ask if they can serve it. Like hello, if you already brought it out and I can see just give it to me…… plus it felt like they were a hawk watching us eat the ENTIRE time. It’s not nice being stared at while eating. Otherwise, food was good. 6.50RM for a bottle of water when I’m coughing from the mala is ridiculous and when they served it with a glass of ice, the glass was really smelly, idk if it’s the glass or the ice but both made me glad I didn’t pour out all the water in the bottle. Please request to sit by the window, the pink decor inside is quite disgusting

Menu is on a touch screen tablet which you use it to order. Atmosphere: 4.5 🌟 Located at Mezzanine floor where people go up to have a good view at Genting Highlands and this floor limits number of people. Unfortunately they had curtains that blocks the view. Needless to say, Hotpot/Steamboat in this weather/temperature at Genting Highlands is going to amplify the experience. Soup Options (from cheapest to most expensive per soup) i) VIP Individual Pot - 1 Soup Base (for 1 person) ii) Single Pot - 1 Soup Base iii) Twin Pot - 2 Soup Base iv) Quarter Pot - 4 Soup Base Soup: Quarter Pot i) Beauty Collagen 3.5 🌟 ii) Tomato Sweet Corn 4 🌟 iii) Spicy Mala 3.25 🌟 iv) Wild Mushroom 3 🌟 I like their utensils which increase the pleasant hotpot experience. The net trap where you can put your small ingredients into it and don't have to keep digging at the bottom of the pot for them later. They also have soups on the side table where you can self add when you need to reduce waiting time. Can't remember all the ingredients but overall they are fresh and well handled and presented Food: Fried Beancurd Skin 3.75 🌟 Food: Cuttlefish 3.25 🌟 Food: Sliced Australian Beef 3.5 🌟 Food: Assorted Balls Platter / Meatballs 3.5 🌟 Food: Pigs Liver 3.25 🌟 Food: Sliced Pork Collar 3.5 🌟 Food: Lettuce 3.25 🌟 Food: Beancurd Skin Tripe 2.75 🌟 All in all, we spent about Rm 160+ per person.

The place is very nice and clean. 1. Hotpot base: Choosing the tomato soup is the most correct decision. Mala soup is a super duper big NO!!! It's all about oil and oil. However, if you are on a diet, it might be a pick for you. 2. Ingredients: The vegetables are very fresh and nice, all of the fishballs too. A small advice to everyone, don't order too much noodles. Really full after eating it. 3. Drinks: Luo Han Guo is really the best one. You can even refill anytime you want. However, the charge is based on the cups. You can only refill in that cup. 4. Service: Really not friendly for introverted people because the worker will stand beside and watch you eat ):< Last time when we enter the restaurant, every worker will welcome you in, but this time, nobody welcomed us. 5. Waiting time: Reservations are needed on busy days. But if you're lucky, maybe there's space for you. Before that, snacks and drinks are prepared outside during your waiting time. But now, nothing is prepared, even chairs are not prepared too. A tiny little upset for this experience as it's really very different compared to the past.

Had a good lunch experience at this outlet. The cold weather made having the hotpot meal a lot better. The options for order were largely similar to what one gets at other outlets. The sauces and some slice fruits is an option for RM8.50 per pax. I personally prefer the sauce options from the competitor hotpot restaurants. But found that the spicy beef sauce (which had real beef) to be really good. Service was good and attentive. Atmosphere however was not that great especially overlooking the scene of fire that happened a few weeks back. Waiter offered us some yuzu dessert at the end of the meal which left a sweet note to end the meal. Restaurant has a time limit of 1.5hours to dine. I find this to be a bit unfair especially for slow eaters. However, I am glad that the waiters took liberty to waive this while we dined given only a limited number of tables occupied.
