Remember to buy breakfast coupon when you check in. Otherwise you will have to queue at the counter to buy the coupon. RM 30 per pax for hotel guests. Others RM 42. Worth the money? Absolutely yes. You get wide variety of freshly cooked food, big portions if you are a big eater. Understandably, most food outlets are pricy at Genting. If you eat same number of items as ala carte, you will spend a lot more. Be prepared to dine with overwhelmingly huge crowd. And still, if you stay cool about it and observe, they manage the entire event smoothly and efficiently. Breakfast hours 6.30am to 11am Amount of food made available at every minute - more than sufficient Clean plates, cutlery, serviettes- ample Table clearing - frequent, polite and clean Seats- ample Food items- bakery, cooked food almost like lunch- nasi lamak rice, fried rice ,(they didn't have plain rice!), many types of curry, chicken, daal, veggies, salads, dressings, juices, milk... Even if you take 1 spoon of each item, you cannot finish it. There is so much food but also so many people. A small drawback was, there were few group tourists who stood and ate fruits, then left the dirty plates near the fruit counters. It was ugly and unpleasant. Back to the positive stories - there is an observatory terrace with a few tables. If you like to eat in on a rooftop with cold breeze, there are limited tables. First come first served. Beware, it will be cold and there are many observers (you can see my video here. We also went to admire the view and click photos). If this distracts you while dining, then the rooftop tables are not for you. Coffee Terrace, and almost the whole Genting Highland is a crowded place. So, do not expect exclusivity. You must be comfortable with crowds. If you are staying at First World Hotel, then you have to take a mini bus to the Genting Grand Hotel. It is a free shuttle bus every 5 minutes. Be patient. Some guests will pretend dumb and cut queue. Alternatively you can walk taking a few escalators and indoor path. But it might be confusing. So, just take the shuttle bus. The shuttle bus is really mini. Can take only 10 people at max. Will I go again? Of course yes. We will be here for 5 days and we want to immerse in this unique breakfast experience. After all, it is less than $10 Singapore dollars. You cannot ask too much with $10 in hand. For the price you are paying, in place you are in, be grateful for this Grand breakfast at the...

This is not my first time having dinner buffet here cos the food was good. Too bad I have to write this up with their bad service staff...I reached coffee terrace genting at 6.30pm on 31.10.16 with my family of 5. I was told by the cashier on the left which I didn't get to see her name tag ( she is chubby and short in height) that is no seat so got to wait, so I wait & que as what others do on the right cashier to be seated. Then what happen is the cashier on the left allow another customer who just came with coupon with 3paxs to proceed the payment and seated by the floor staff 😱 And we are stupidly standing and wait. I'm the next customer I'm not happy so I voice up how come he can be seated and we are queuing here and not get to be seated. The cashier dare not explain cos me & other customer that behind me saw very clearly that she received the coupon and payment from the customer who did not que. Then the green uniform floor staff a lady came and say this customer card expired and went to change and was here earlier if the customer card is expired how can he get the coupon I believe the coupon are given when u are gambling in the casino with certain point requirements 😡 The staff taught we are stupid. We are member too 😡 I say yet now still don't have seat how come he was not queing. Firstly why must the floor staff explain!!! the cashier should know better which customer that came earlier or what 😡 other customer who are not happy also came in front and ask why the customer got coupon or what other card got privilege!!! Why never que!!! Then they got a seat for me so while I'm paying they get my family to go inside after paying I ask the floor staff again where is my family she just say there up there 😡How am I suppose to know where about where she didn't even assist me, I tell myself is ok I will find my way. Not even an apology was say!!! And surely I will write up this...

早餐就只有辣的食物。不喜欢辣的可以不用去。没有东西吃。食物很难吃。食物很难吃。食物很难吃。

Firstly, the location is very far from skyavenue and first world hotel (this is nearer to genting grand hotel).

So it was quite a walk getting here in the early morning.

Next, we're here for breakfast. You can see from the photos, there's no food. You know what's for breakfast? Curry. And laksa. And Sambal. Lol. So if you dont prefer spicy foods, especially in the mornings, you can skip the long walk here cause the curry and laksa is so not worth it.

The only other foods i could recommend would only be the watermelon. It was tasty, had not a lot of seeds. The oranges are sour. So dont try it. ;) Oh, and the scrambled eggs and fried eggs are also awesome.

Warning : DO NOT try the hash browns and the waffle. Its all cold and hard lol.

Staff are ignorant and very noisy. The kitchen staff stand around talking loudly, like there's no noise from the guests, so you could hear all the yapping from the staff. We were also graced with a cook from somewhere who was singing at the top of his lungs. (He was the only friendly one cause he said good morning to all the guests.)

Their sign literally says NO ENTRY. Lol. And the sign remained that way even after we finish with our breakfast. Shows how much effort the staff put into welcoming guests.

Compared to the food factory breakfast buffet i had last year, this is not worth. Don't go for...

I find the variety really lackluster and underwhelming during my recent visit comparing to what was on the counter a few years ago. A third of the counters were non operational. There's no cheese, yogurt, omelette counter, espresso machine and practically no seafood whatsover. What was on the menu were the usual local carb heavy dishes such as nasi lemak, soup and fried noodles and rice, Indian flatbread, congee, lo mai kai and steamed chicken char siu buns, mini croissant, muffins and a few other types of pastries, loaves of white and light brown bread, turkey ham and chicken loaf, just 1 type of sausage, baked beans, hash, French toast, scrambled eggs, salad bar, cereal bar, a fruit station with just 3 types of fruits, orange juice, pre-prepared coffee and tea. Taste wise they're just passable with no standout dishes but also none that was too offensive to be called out. It cost staying guests only RM30 per head, so I guess there isn't much else they could do with the price. However, they could train their young serving staffs better to decline guest demands more politely. Taste factor: 4.7/10 Return factor: Not that bad a breakfast just not entirely keen
