Went there for a farewell dinner with my guests. We made a reservation for 6pm and was quickly usher in upon our arrival at 5.55pm.

As this is our first time in the restaurant, my wife ask one of the male captain(an old man with some hair issue) if he could recommend us some food. He just continue walk pass our table without stopping and say all their food are tasty and good. After few minutes, we saw that he stopped at another table to give recommendations of food and pointing at the various dish on the restaurant menu.

Our food is serve pretty fast in under 20 mins. Honestly i find all the food quite average in taste and the roasted pork meat is especially salty.

As we are rushing to catch our transport to airport, we hurried to make payment. And we encounter the same male captain who is processing our bill. Throughout the whole payment, he did not even talk to us much. Did not even say a single thank you to us.

Mind you, we are only 4 adults, 1 kid and 1 infant, our bill came up to RM600. And this is the type of service we got from this guy? Is it because we don't come wearing in fancy dress or in large group like the other table?

In a service line, at least respect your paying customers. Do not walk and talk at the same time as if you are not interested in entertaining the customers. It is so rude to do so to anyone.

Edit: There is no need to contact me as I am from Singapore and my guests are from Korea. I believe there is nothing at all that you can...

It is a yearly ritual for my family to come here for dinner during CNY! Love the Roasted char siew and Xio bak is a constant reordering menu we would have. Staffs are constantly changing the plates for us as well to make sure we have clean plates.

The Roasted Charsiew is very caramelised and sticky like taffy. The burnt bits are the best! The xio bak has a very crispy top layer and very flavourful. Even though its very good, cant help but feel the standard dropped. I rate: 5/5 🌟

The tofu dish was really tender and savory too. Surprised how the tofu can be so soft ! Goes really well with rice too the gravy. I rate: 5/5 🌟

The Lou Hei is pretty pricey. But for the quality of ingredients, it's a good cny dish to order! I rate: 4/5 🌟

The fried rice is a hot favourite as well with charsirw bits and long beans. It's very flavourful and the wok hei really comes through. Rice is pearly and evenly coated with the seasonings. Simply amazing! I rate: 5/5 🌟

The hor fun was surprisingly amazing too! Slippery wok hei fried flat rice noodles, evenly coated with the flavourful starch slurry. Even the ingredients that goes into this simple dish is not shortchanged. I rate: 5/5 🌟

Fried Ee mian is not very good for sharing cause of the crayfish. But noodles were very crispy and gravy was very flavourful with aromatics too! The sauce has a powerful seafood aroma too....

Food was okay but service is terrible there.

Took approx 20 mins to just reserve a table in the morning. The hostess took all the details and asked many questions and asked us to choose which tables to specifically reserve. But when it came to the time to record the reservation, she called out for another colleague and told us to repeat everything to him once more. Not sure if there was a point for her to go through everything if she wasn’t going to make the reservations.

We ordered two peking ducks for 20+ pax during reservations. At dinner, when we were ordering, we were told that they could not fry the duck meat in noodles during peak periods. The restaurant was not busy - apart from us there were 3 to 4 tables. When asked and pressed why this wasn’t made known to us during reservation, the supervisor raised her voice at us, saying that we should have called her instead to make the reservation. It’s as though we were at fault for walking-in to make the reservations which was accepted by staff members. This is not the way to treat paying customers for a mistake made by your staff members.

Food was honestly ok but personally felt like the service was really bad for any restaurant (not to mention something at this price point). Also very warm in the restaurant. Would not recommend if you’re looking for an enjoyable...

My family decided to try this place for dinner. Can tell the place a bit run down, the plates and cutlery also have visible worn down and cracked. Here’s what we tried : 1. Celebration Rm 468++ (4 Paxs) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Roasted Duck (Half) : The skin were really crunchy and yet the meat were juicy like it’s steamed. Interesting dish. Quite a big portion. - Baby Bok Choy in Superior Soup ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ : There’s dried shrimp and garlic in it making the soup really nice. - Steamed Fish Fillet ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ : This dish is amazing! The steam timing was just right and the soy sauce were fragrant as well! - Desserts ⭐️⭐️⭐️ : Osmanthus Jelly & Gwai Leng Gou was nice, not too sweet. 2. Double Boiled Fish Maw Soup with Cordyceps Rm 38.80 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - The soup really thick and rich, we enjoyed to the last drop! 3. Yong Zhao Fried Rice Rm 31.80 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Good wok hei and the little char siew in it makes it so delicious! 4. Coldish (Pickled Radish) Rm 16 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Although bit pricey but we enjoyed this appetizer very much. Overall we enjoyed our meal there. The staff were super attentive to our needs and the manager was very accommodating. We would love to come back again.

Visited Oversea express for lunch. The kailan is great. Perfectly blanched and not fibrous at all. The stalk is thick but surprisingly thoroughly cooked and seasoned with drizzles of light oyster sauce and some oil. A welcome change from carb heavy offerings at most budget eateries in genting. Colour is great and super fresh. This, in my opinion, is a must order. Roast pork is above average but the part I got is a little too fatty for my taste. However the fat is nicely done without the typical chewiness you get at hawker centres. It's almost as if it became slightly 'crystal' akin to the fat in 水晶叉烧. Taste is on the saltier side but the skin is nice and crispy. Cucumber is fresh. I like. Charsiew is average and slightly dry. Soup of the day (salted vegetables with tofu) is salty. There's definitely msg in some of the dishes (I think it's the chilli) bc I feel thirsty a few hours afterwards. Quiet environment and close to first world hotel. Hopefully they can come out with roast chicken in the future.
