Starbucks Coffee Genting 1 (First World) — Restaurant in Pahang

This starbucks is a scam! Be aware!

The cashiers here are incentive to upsell you, i suspect they are paid commission for additional topping on your drinks.

On a total of 3 visits to this store, my family and i have been charged more than what we supposedly have to pay for the drink due to their cunning tactics. They would casually use gimmick words to trick you into their trap and charge you additional without telling you there are additional charges.

These are from our experiences, Cashier asked if I like the coffee "sweeter" - charged me MYR 4 for vanilla sugar Syrup.

Cashier asked my bro if he likes to have strong coffee - then charge him for double shot

Cashier asked us if we like to have chocolate whipcream to go along, we thought it's the usual whipcream. When we saw the receipt then we realized we have been charged MYR 8 for the whipcream, this is the most ridiculously expensive one so far.

Forcing a starbucks card to my brother depsite telling the cashier that he didnt want it.

Now, scrolling through the google review, i noticed i am not the only one. I have never imagined that such a globally renowned coffee chain, starbucks, have been degraded to this standard to run a shaddy business in Malaysia iconic tourist spot, Genting Highlands, to trick consumers, downright disgusting...

Worst experience ever on 14.12.24. Staff Dania claims "no ice" drinks. Come on, it's 24hrs Starbucks and no iced drinks?? she is very rude and when asked the reason for no ice drinks she informed that the ice finished and will only be available tomorrow and when we further probed she claimed that the machine has spoiled!!!!. But within 5mins we saw another staff stocking up the ice and she claims now we have ice!! Please at least be honest about what happened beforehand. She was also speaking in Malay and when i said I don't understand, instead of speaking in English she seemed irritated by that fact (showed attitude) and just waited for me to get my friend to help translate. She also told us to queue again if we want to reorder the iced drinks. Very very very very bad service!!!!!! Please don't...

Food: rm20 black tea latte looking pale looking like nothing but just milk! Service: since u don't serve u only need to write name. I ordered 3 coffee n u are too lazy to ask for names but all 3 has the same name n same msg "enjoy" Better don't ask la.. I don't think it is just a boikot. Starbucks has no motivation to increase their level of service at all. We hardly patron starbucks at all n u have 1 chance to make it right at ur signature shop but u just screw it kaokao Atmosphere: spotlights shining on where the seats are exactly! Like what else can u go wrong! Wanna sit outdoors but it is just smoke. WiFi connection also not great. SADBUCKS
