A place for you to enjoy steamboat and let me start off with my first impression. Place is packed when I went and actually the electricity was cut off and we don't get to eat and have to wait a while. The food was already served but since there is no electricity we cannot start cooking our food. There was an empty room with electricity available and we asked for it. It took quite a while before they finally move us to the room. Else I was considering to leave the place already. So this part, I will rate the service is ok ok only, 3 stars at most. Food wise, everything is delicious. We ordered the mala steam fish and you can take a look at the picture I attached. There is flat noodle added to the dish too and it works well altogether. As for the steamboat, nothing special and it is the typical ones you get. Nevertheless it is nice and I enjoyed the soup provided. Parking at Icon City is a nightmare nowadays so I wouldn't really consider going again next time. It is just not worth the hassle.

But make sure to make reservation to ensure a place inside with air-conditioned instead of eating outside. Can get packed at peak hours. They are using induction cooker. If your steamboat pot is not boiling, make sure to move your pot a bit so that the non-boiling portion is situated right in the middle.

Located at icon city of Bukit Mertajam. Is one of the brach of Gia Xiang Restaurant. Parking is a bit difficult at Icon city, so may need to search around. The food they have package and ala cart to choose. They have variety of vegetables, mushrooms, meat such as beef, pork, and mutton. Also got fish, prawn meat and all type of meat ball to choose.

This will be my first choice ever whenever I want to eat hot pot in Bukit Mertajam. To be honest, their hot pot isn't the best one I ever had. But what I like about is their service and environment. Tables are not close to another table which you can move freely. For me the price is quite reasonable. Each price is around MYR40 to MYR60. Depends on what you order. It could be higher or lower. Parking is quite headache especially you want to park inside the street. Plus, if you are not from Bukit Mertajam, you will be more stress. However, if you are around the area you should be able to find car...
