Black Canyon Coffee — Restaurant in Perak

Came for lunch at 4+pm. Ordered: 1 pineapple fried rice + mini tomyam 1 pad ka prow 1 green curry chicken Jasmine green tea Black canyon coffee the drinks were okay. mini tom yam was served 3 mins after order.. weird it arrived before any drink? pineapple fried rice was wet & mushy. Taste horrible like eating some kind of fried porridge 😐 pad ka prow - the most ok one in the order but still on salty side green curry chicken was a joke. 6 pcs of chicken with 14 pieces of brinjal.. should be renamed “green curry brinjal “ even the egg at the side tasted weird like powder 🧐 staff need to be retrained.. or at least supervised. The robot does a better job at serving people. total was RM62.15. I had paid RM102.15, thus the change should be simply RM40.. took the staff 10 minutes to count the change since he was hesitant to take the coins which i placed on the counter. He kept recounting… when I told him the change is RM40 he just continued to give the incorrect amt. luckily the manager was there and she corrected the mistake.. still 10 mins to calculate with a auto-counting cash register shows the standard of staff here.

Now that their quality of the food, service was getting worse and worse. How I wish I could leave a zero star for them.

The environment was not bad since they had it renovated and in invested a robot servant to serve the foods to the table. To be frank, it doesn’t really work for the place, the table arrangement was placed in different position and the aisle was narrow, when the robot passed through the gap and unable to get over, the customers have to move the seat or even stand up to let the robot moving.. kinda unfriendly…

The food portion was lesser again and the price was getting higher. It’s okay to have the price up but not reduce the portion of the food. So unfair and we have to wait about 40 minutes for the food.

The vegetarian fried rice was not up to standard, too many black sauce and it was burnt a bit. Fish cakes was way too small for the price of RM16 and the tuna sandwich was the worst, I could tell you that the tuna they spread in only about a tablespoon! Can you imagine the tuna was just a round shape in the middle and the rest...

I normally don't write reviews but this is a must. Black Canyon used to be delicious with staff always ready to help 4-5 years ago and was a go-to comfort place for Thai food.

Now the food quality dropped so much as the food tastes too sweet. Staff-wise, the big front lady at the front desk is utterly disrespectful. I waived to her TWICE to request assistance and she just looked at me and ignored me TWICE. If you don't want to work then quit lah. If it's not your duty, then at least respond or help to get the one who is supposed to assist us. What for you just look and ignore, that's so rude. Overall a very disappointing experience here and will not come back anymore. If I could rate this 0 stars I...
