A very pleasant experience!

I ordered these from their online store and it was fuss-free. Their online store website is very user friendly. The delivery was prompt and quicker than the duration mentioned on their page. Really appreciate the time and effort that the CHG team have taken to securely pack the items individually. Each item came in perfect condition all the way from Ipoh to Selangor. Grateful that I did not have a bad experience with J&T handling my CHG box.

The BBQ Meat Mooncakes did not disappoint at all! They’re smoky, savory, and sweet just as expected. Soft thin skin with very generous filling. The plain mooncakes were very soft and fresh too. The Sat Kei Mah (Soft Crispy Candy Biscuit) was a highlight too - soft, fresh and not overly sweet.

Price wise, I think the items are priced reasonably given that the seller would have to incur extra cost for the delivery packaging (bubble wraps and boxes are not cheap) and manpower to pack the items. Cost of ingredients may not be the same each year too (especially during difficult times like now - logistics are much more complicated) so it’s understandable that the price of the mooncakes fluctuate too.

The CHG team also responds to enquiries very promptly on their social media accounts and have been very helpful.

This is my first experience and definitely will not be my last. I can’t wait to return to Ipoh to visit their...

I just bought online a couple of packs from KL for personal consumption.

I have to say I am extremely disappointed. The packaging has improved tremendously but the price has also shot up the roof and the product's quality has been compromised (NO FULL EGG YOLK FOR 1 SIGNATURE BISCUIT, prob half or less than half a yolk now - tradition is also gone?)

It is definitely not the same CHG signature biscuit as I had FIRST tried 6-7 years ago, where there were more pieces in a pack (5-6) , more egg yolk/pork floss/ biscuit was much bigger. They were gifts from my ipoh clients, and with the "cheap" plastic packaging last time, it still had an everlasting image in my memory, and now it is ruin.

I did buy it again 3-4 years ago and did notice a drop in quality and slight hike in price (solid packaging as well) when I was in Ipoh but the price in Ipoh is cheaper than online shop, so I bought it anyways...but this time round...I am done. It has become a product that is overpriced.

Given a choice, I rather have the old packaging , old price and old product back. It is just not the...

We made early order and call to the store twice to make and confirm the orders as we were travelling to Ipoh on that weekend (Call was made on Monday and Tuesday) and when we were there to pick up our orders, NOTHING WAS PACKED. What even worse was the best selling biscuits (meat floss biscuits with egg yolk) were not baked nor prepared at all. We had high hopes as all 10 of us were first timers who was very excited to try as it was recommended by a dear friend. In the end, we could only get the rest that was offered in the physical store.

If your store was THAT busy then just make a simple call to customer and inform no stock that's all, but NO, they was expecting customer to travel far (I am from Penang) and disappoint them with the bad news. So bye and no more next...
